Tried different bios?tried different sticks? tried my method to identify the issue thats holding u back? i got 440, 460 and finally 470 fsb wall during my OC. From those fsb i found mem timings seems to be the prob (cl 4 better than cl 5). If u already done that, then i think the board u got sucks!!personal opinion tho.

well. like i said there is no single solution for this sound prob that works for anybody. A bit off topic, if u finally have to buy dedicated soundcard, i think an x-fi would be too much for your future x-230 speakers, coz of that 24bit 96khz thing x-fi has wont performs its best with ur speakers. I think old SB live with 24bit 96khz will be just fine.
If this is a new drive and rated at 3GB there is a jumper you have to remove (Seagate hard drives) or a configuration utility you have to run to set it to 3GB. They come set to 150 by default so they will work with older SATA system. Not sure how WD deals with this but a simple search of there site should turn up all the answers you could ever want.

Well you are trying to go to 500 bus speed with the core/CPU voltage at 1.25. That is lower then stock. Try a Vcore/CPU voltage of 1.475>1.55 and start with the bus speed around 400 and work up from there. Also set the Mem voltage to something in the 2.25 range and NB to 1.45 and FSB TV to 1.4. If it boots at 400 then work the bus up from there or work the voltages down and leave the system set at 400.

Hey guys. I'm currently hitting a strange fsb wall with my p5b-deluxe. It seems i can boot @ 520x7, which is well within my cpu's limit, an it does this on 1.25v to the NB. But i simply cannot post @ anything above that, regardless of voltage. The chipset is water cooled, and i have 2 x 120mm fans and 2x0mm fans over the board. I'm runnig the 0711 bios right now. Any suggestions?
