If someone can try 0801 and get a change list that would be ace. I don't have my mobo working and it's being RMA'd tomorrow.

Also, what is the difference between 0509 and 0711 (the upgrading that killeed my mobo). - Die it die for no reason? lol
It was a long road and one that is now over. Behold the updatedrig:

    See the changelogs.

Can any1 tell me what vFSB termination is? I cant find it anywhere.
How much influence has it on ur OC? Which voltage is recommended if u overclock (~~~470FSB~~~).
    My PC:
    - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (9x 333),
waiting at cpu waterblock for OC
    -2GBHZ G.Skill Dualchannel@ 333@ 1.9V
    -Asus P5B Deluxe, no mods
    -2x raptor 74gb (8mb) RAID0
    -8800GTS @ stock
    -Creative Soundblaster Audigy SE
    -Zalman 460W-APS

    I'm not stupid.

To all others I mean, what stand outs are there? - It's all trivial things in the c/l. Have people experienced more stability / any chance of slightly higher OC's too?

The search function is your friend.

A less complicated explanation can be found here:

When you raise the FSB frequency, sometimes you need to increase the termination voltage to increase stability. Some users avoid the maximum setting (1.45) because they found they can get higher FSB with 1.4v.

The theory part is complicated, put i little bit see the point in it.

In short, set it to 1.4V? Intel says, 1.3V for maximum.
I havent tested the differences yet.

    ty anyway

Intel says 1.55v is the maximum for FSB Termination Voltage which is also known as VTT.

VTT is usually about half the memory voltage.

    ftp://download.intel.com/design/proc...s/31327802.pdf

Also keep in mind that voltage numbers quoted by Intel do not refer to your bios settings. For example, Intel says VCore should be no more than 1.55v. But you can set 1.55v in bios and actual board voltage, measured with a DMM, may be only 1.5 due to voltage droop.

Intel's voltage figures are just guidelines. Don't you think it rather odd that Intel says no more than 1.55 for core voltage, and yet some of the boards they sell like the Bad Axe have VCore higher than that in the bios.

Perhaps because the board may also be used to run other currently available CPU's, and others that are yet to be released?

    Well, just a thought...
