    3DMark05: Asus P5B Deluxe (965), BIOS 0614 vs 0710 (CGI enabled)

You want to see what ATI's newest Catalyst 6.10 and Asus' new 0710 BIOS do for Crossfire on the P965 chipset? Well, here it is...

MB: Asus P5B Deluxe (965 Chipset)
    CPU: Intel E6400 @ 3.73GHz
Video: ATI X1900XTX/CF @ 680/800 (or 685/800) *my mistake when testing*

    ***CROSSFIRE ENABLED FOR BOTH RUNS***

    First run: Catalyst 6.9, P5B BIOS 0614

    Second run: Catalyst 6.10, P5B BIOS 0710

    Raw 3DMark05 Performance Increase: 11.5%
Sidebar: I saw roughly 30% increase in Oblivion performance with the use of this new driver from ATI and BIOS 0710!!!

    Very interseting.

Would you say the Ati catalyist or the BIos update made the biggest difference?

How far is that off from the 975X performance now? Must be decently close right? 10-15% less perhaps?

firingsquad showed it be less than that in most games.

2-5% and only game not following the same was CODuty.

using a 965 board is fine now with ati latest offerings.

    Now i just need a master x1950.

    Really nice improvement.

Did you test catalyst 6.9 with bios 0710? If so, did you notice any improvement from 6.9 with 0614?
