the sub timings for the gskill HZ 6400 should be:

    3
    10
    5
    13

    hope this information helps.

they are not timings that i got by myself. they're really the sticks default value.

For thoose having problems running at 400 fsb in 4:5, use 401 instead. the problem is the chipset strap is in is limits at 400, and when you change to 401, it changes to 1333 starp instead of the 1066 used at 400.

ok i got some free time today and i tested almost all asus p5b delux bios. The 8000 2GBHZ booted up only on 0502 bios the all other bios wont boot up this memory. The most intresting was with 0706 bios it booted up with single memory stick but when it start to load the windows it display that some system file is missing and offers me to repair the windows instalation useing windows instalation cd. But when i change the momory to some value memory stick it booted up and runned windows fine and suddenly no file was missing wtf its really weird and when i put in the both sticks of 8000 2GBHZ to run in dual channel mode it wont boot up at all i think that asus sucks for real

I'm running at the 4:5 divider at FSB 390 (DDR2-975) at 4-4-4-12, and I tried the above subtimings, and my superpi 1M went from 14 sec to 18 sec. I'm back to 10-10-10-10, and my superpi is back to 14.4 sec.

    Hi,

I cannot get my GBPK RAM to run at the advertised speed / latency (CAS4) in spite of copying your BIOS settings exactly. My specs :

    P5B Deluxe (BIOS 614)
    E6600
    ATI1900XT
    2 GB PC6400 CAS4 G.Skill GBPK RAM

The system is not overclocked, temps are OK (CPU idle 38, load 44). The RAM is auto detected at CAS5 and system runs stable and fine at the looser settings.

I have also re-loaded the BIOS defaults and made only the changes suggested to make sure nothing else is affecting the RAM.

Once I make the suggested adjustments in the BIOS as per this thread to CAS4 4-4-4-12 on booting the system shows the BIOS start-up screen and then continuously crash cycles until I hit the reset.

I increased volts to 1.9V as shown on your screenshots and on the packaging but no further.

Maybe I am missing something - do you have any suggestions?

    Regards

I have flashed to the latest BIOS 711 and re-tried all your settings as shown in this thread and my RAM will still only run at CAS5, crashes on CAS4 settings.

I have PM'ed and emailed you the serial numbers for my sticks

    Thanks again

Asus P5B Deluxe WiFi donīt post

Hi all. Iīve got a problem with this board...

    I got a brand new mobo, a conroe 6400, 2GB GSkill 6400 and a X1900 AIW. Connected all the devices (plus 4 SATA 80GB and a Audigy2 Platinum) and instaled a fresh Windows XP Pro + SP2.

The system turned on, I installed the motherboard drivers and used the ASUS UPDATE to update the BIOS. The BIOS the program selected was version 711. I downloaded it, the program flashed the BIOS and restarted.

When the system restarted, the blue Asus logo on the board became red, the cpu fan began to spin but that is all that happened. No bip, no video, nothing else...

I tryed to boot with the support CD to restart the original BIOS but again I get nothing because there is no action: no bip, no video. The mobo led, cpu fan, DVD drivers and HDs are working are working (lights are on), but there is no video... Monitor keeps saying NO SIGN.

Any ideas on what to do to get my system on again?

    Thanks

I am having problems with f2-6400phu2-2gbnr kits on a p5b dlx system bios 804

i have used the settings from the first post 5-5-5-15-4-42-10-10-10-10 1.8v upto 1.95v at stock ddr2 800 speeds. so far i have tested 3 kits using quick tech pro extended memory test and get errors on all 3 kits in different places
I also tested a f2-6400phu1-1gbnr kit and that worked 100%.

the serial numbers of one of the kits 6480901439309 and 310
    Asus P6T Dlx Palm , Core i7 920 , 3gb OCZ DDR3 1600 , 9600gt , cosmos 1000.

dinos22, can you please post the exact timings (sub timings) and voltages (mem,chipset...) that you have used? I look for threads made by Spacemaster but couldn't find your findings.. THANK YOU

SUB TIMINGS FOR 2GB NQ & 2GB NS

2GB NR can use the Asus timings, but G.Skill SPD timings are recommendable for optimal results.

10-10-10-10 will not work in most cases. The settings above are Gskill SPD sub timings!

Get a 2*1Gb kit of 6400 HZ on a P5B deluxe. No overclocking

During the first install, the system had boot with all bios settings to auto.

After 3 weeks, the system give me a BSOD and the only for me to reboot is to use another memory module and put Vddr to 2.1v. 3 days later, need to put vddr to 2.25v to be able to boot. Is it a normal behaviour or i miss something ?

4-4-4-12-4-42-9-11-7-13, vddr 2.25, e6600 266Mhz, 400Mhz for memory all other settings to default.

I just changed USB legacy to disable.

My system runs fine with a no name memory and when i'm able to boot with my gskill kit, i can run memtest for windows 600% without an error.

PS: No boot is no beep, screen black, fans on. If i remove the memory modules, the motherboard beeps.

I want to stay on the 1066 strap for my P5B Dlx, which I gather is under 400 FSB. Is it possible to run a (2:3) frequency per the following: I tried and did not get a post.
I have G.Skill F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ. I like this memory; it seems to work at tight settings.

    P5B Deluxe (Bios 1101)
    6600......375 FSB running at 3.38Ghz
    4x1Gb at (4:5).....running at 938Mhz (4-4-4-12-4-12-3-11-7-13)
    vMemory: 2.25
    Vcore: 1.40
    vNB: 1.45
    vSB: 1.60
    vICH: 1.057

It was not stable with this setup at 380-390 FSB, but at 375 FSB is was a breeze. This appears to be a sweet spot.

    Thanks

for 500 you probably wanna try 7-12-8-12 then 6-11-7-11

    I recently bought F2-6400CL4D-2GBPK
Right now it runs at stock 800MHz, 1.9V,
    timings 4-4-4-4-2-30-3-9-6-9.

It's memtest86+ stable and 24/7 folding stable. Is it safe to run memory at such timings?
I got a nice bump in memory benchmarks @ Everest, so I would prefer to keep these timings over suggested 4-4-4-12-4-42-3-11-7-13.

By the way what's the lowest possible timings on these sticks? Could it go even lower? I am a bit scared to try it myself.
