umm how the128-bit Dual-channel memory architecture
4 240-pin DDRII DIMM sockets 8GB in max.
1
Supports unbuffered, single/double-side DDRII-667/800 DI
Supports x8/x16, non-ECC and up to 1GB DDRII devicesdoes it support 8Gb them?

woho! Though, why only 2x8 pci-e16? Me want 2x16!![]()

Yeah, and the last one is only x2. I want at least 2x16 + 1xsomething or even better 3x16 lanes ^^Originally Posted by OBR

I think I has something to do with the PCI-E devices not with the memory. But I don't know why there should be a limitation on the memory used on a PCI-E device?Originally Posted by nn_step

I hope this board/bios has some of the features I have come to love from my Ultra-D such as thermal throttling for the onboard 3 pin fan headers depending on temps which of course is user defined as well as the power on by set date/time. I have found this very usefull a few times when im not around and need my pc booted up itself for whatever reason.
I too am a little weary on the 2 x 8x pcie slots. I was hoping for 2 x 16x for the upmost in performance even if only by a margin when compared to 2 x 8x slots.

dont need anything faster than whats been supplied.
2*8x slots is good enough for sli/xfire
and the 2x slot easily provides more than enough bandwidth for a physics card

there are plenty of reviews showing that the difference is minimal, though i guess here at XS, every bit counts when trying to break recordsOriginally Posted by hipno650

I'm thinking the same. That document has a very low level of polish.Originally Posted by nn_step
Things like the DFI banner simply having had the hue changed to make the features on the board blue and purple... when have DFI made a board that looks like that?
DFI could also put pictures of the product on marketing information. It just looks like someone has gone by the initial specs in the DFI roadmap and extrapolated some features and made some assumptions...
But we'll see
that and this DDRII667 is PC6400 and DDRII800 is PC7100 um isn't it 5300 and 6400? Also at the bottom look at the pic, it says it uses the Karjan Module for sound but it clearly shows Sound Headers. They wouldn't be there.

Because there are 2GB sticks of DDR-II, so you only need 4 slots for 8GB.Originally Posted by nn_step
Fake or not, I want that board asap, my P5W just died half an hour ago.
Hopefully it will be fine with Seasonic PSUs this time.

I was getting confused on that same part. Where can you get a one 2gb stick?Originally Posted by RyderOCZ

Its not 1GB as in module size, its 1Gb (Gigabit...IC density)Originally Posted by DragonOrta
You can get it here: http://www.ocztechnology.com/product...s_dual_channelOriginally Posted by Latoron
As well as several other manufacturers: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=115803
Oh, ok. Makes sense now.Originally Posted by RyderOCZ

SO you are basically saying that should 2Gb module sizes come out, it would not support them.. okOriginally Posted by RyderOCZ

Correct, it doesn't say it supports 2Gb IC Density, otherwise the max ram would be 16GB.Originally Posted by nn_step
RD580, and I guess same for RD600 supports 48 PCIe lanes. If SB600 is connested with 4 of them, it remains 44 for the PCIe slots it would make sense to have 2x16 for CrossFire, and 1x8 for PhysX, and 4 foru what ever reason (say additiona RAID controller). 2x8 for grapphics, and 1x2 for physix is just under high expectations!
So I'm with nn_step guessing this PDF is fake!
totally fake
seriously, zoom in at the io panel
