Yes, the CPU definitely makes a difference. But I just want to see some higher clocks on the Abit board. I'm sure you will oblige me.

As soon as they give us a bios that unlocks the multies upwards on the X6800's (at least ES's), I'll put it in cascade/LN2....For now, I'm just testing to find mobo's max and benchable frequencies on air so as to see what it will do under cold....
Someone please test what it does for 24/7 cuz I'm not interestead about it.....

What kind of voltages for the vcore,chipsets and all that will we be looking at with the AW9D-Max if I'm looking to take a E6700 near 3.4 Ghz? I know this is quite lazy of me, but im curious.

The only way to know the real Vcore is to measure it with a voltmeter.
Where is the measurement point on the aw9d?

i honestly can't see a reason why someone would switch.
switch for 2 seconds difference on Pi ?? come now,, seems a bit silly so do that.

Yes, I'm glad I made the decision as well now... though I was just going to pass on it and stick with the p5w originally. A little longer waiting time, plus spending some $$ shipping the p5w back is still worth it for the aw9dmax. Lack of PCI slots aside, its still better than having a feature I didn't want that kept the usb devices on even when pc is shutoff that the p5w does (got alot of stuff thats lit up like USB hardware lock for CAD, and the usual mouse, keyboard).
