Its still not out, there are some retailers trying to sell this for a ridiculous price.
I expect the board within a week or two on the shelves. While there was just one offer at www.geizhals.at (best-price-site) at the beginnig of last week, you can now find over 20 offers.

EDIT: You know what?! He isn't kidding - I've found several Polish Etailers with the board at £112!!! Compared to the £180 here in the UK. Also, for anyone looking to import into the UK, there is no customs or excise charges apparently, as I looked up the codes etc on the European Union website - all you pay is for the board and shipping!
Now to find a polish etailer who ships to the UK...hmm.... help!

Looks right, but only thing it does not mention in the list is Conroe support. That price looks too good to be true..

Raja
There is no P5W64 without Conroe support - only P5WG2-WS doesn't have Conroe. ALL 64's with 4 PCIe x16 lanes have Conroe support.Originally Posted by raju

Got mine just now, only 2 hooks for the NB fan - yet AndreYangs picture shows 4? Special reviewer only board?
Will update with more info about what real World results I get are.
Really?! That's odd. I've only seen them with 4 hooks.... Hmm, why would they do that?! Cost saving?!Originally Posted by Durzel

Mine is on its way, hopefully I can report on that tonight - if not, tomorrow. Got it from Scan in the UK.

I guess so, can't think of any other reason.Originally Posted by smids
Interestingly the Hexus review board has 2 hooks, but Andres and others I've seen have 4. Same with the P5WDG2 WS Pro too - review/early boards seem to have 4 hooks, retail have 2. Makes you wonder what else is missing really.
I got mine from Scan too nox_uk so yours will have 2 hooks too
Serial number was 68M0AG incidentally, which isn't surprising I guess since its a newer released board than the P5W-DH.
(due to the forum restructuring, part of this thread is cross-posted, sorry!!)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Going from 4 hooks to 2 hooks probably is a "cost reduction", saves a couple of cents per board.
I read somewhere else that the serial numbers 68MOAGxxxxxx version of one of the other ASUS boards was thought to be superior to those with serial numbers 67MOAGxxxxxx in terms of overclocking stability.
I had been testing one of the 67's (of the P5WDG2 WS Pro) and just got a 68 (of the P5WDG2 WS Pro.) I have not started testing the 68 yet, but so far, all I can tell is that the northbridge heatsink has 2 hooks on the 68 where the 67 has 4 hooks. Some of the components, capacitors, etc are obviously different. The boards both have the same revision on the silkscreen, rev. 1.02G. ASUS probably didn't bother to update the silkscreen.
I am not an engineer, so changes in caps or other components may or may not mean cost savings.
Perhaps Andre Yang or someone who has looked at a 68MOAGxxxxxx version (and the 67 version) can comment.

Not having much joy with my P5W64 so far, it's crapping out at pretty much exactly the same 1:1 FSB as my P5W-DH (66M0AG, 1.65v vMCH) did.
Can anyone see anything wrong with what I'm doing?..
1) Booting it at 3.4Ghz (340x10 - can't change multiplier in BIOS), memory is set to be 1:1, 2.1v (G.Skill PC2-6400 2GB HZ)
2) Using CrystalCPUID to lower multi to 6x
3) Using Clockgen to move FSB up from 340 to 400 and beyond
4) Like my P5W-DH this P5W64 (68M0AG) hard locks at around 410FSB.
I've tried setting mem to SPD or Manual and it doesn't seem to make any difference.
Voltages are 1.7v vMCH (tried 1.8v - no difference), 1.3250v vCore (overvolts to about 1.38v in PC Probe), FSB 1.4v, ICH 1.2v.
Given so many other people seem to be getting well over 400 I can't help but think I'm doing something fundamentally wrong? I haven't changed the TIM or anything yet on this P5W64, or even taken the plastic film off the covers. If Hexus can get 500FSB 1:1 "just by changing 1.7v", and Andre and co. are getting 450+ with ease - where am I going wrong?![]()
Could it be the CrystalCPUID giving you grief? I am not 100% sure that using software to change multi is a rock-solid test of the mobo's capability. It would be more interesting to drop a 6300 or 6400 in your same mobo and see what FSB you get to I think.
