    Thumbs up Kentsfield K6700es with ASUS P5WGD2-Pro @ 4G on Air, 3.8G sp2004

    Kentsfield K6700es B1 stepping, ( multi unlock, cpuz recognize as k6800 with 11x )

    ASUS P5WGD2-WS Pro ,bios=0004, pwm/nb cooling mod.
    Tower120 cooling with ambient=27c
    really a fantastic WR chip

Fun speeds, but didn't someone already hit 5.1ghz kentsfield?

EDIT: I see, 4x prime stable, that's awesome! Nice job!

this is the highest quad_prime clk on normal cooling
    just with a Rad_water, room=20c (AC cooling)
    B1 stepping improves quite a lot !

80c loaded temp is high, but who care

Can you show CPU loading? Maybe only 50% because 2XORTHOS is not 4 core.

    2 x orthos = 100% Load on Quadcore

    I test 2 x orthos on my kentsfield. It's 50%.

Do you try it? Why do you say 100%???

There's a possibility that each instance of ORTHOS would target the same cores, like 0/1 on each instance leaving the other 2 cores unstressed. A possibility anyway. It's still absolutely sick to see it at 3.85 Ghz, i can't touch prime there.

Most likely yes, the current ORTHOS Beta selects the first available CPUs, probably 0 & 1. To test 4 cores, you'd have to create a shortcut/ duplicate the ORTHOS files and specify the affinities in the shortcut such that the second ORTHOS would select 2 & 3. You can also change the affinities in Task Manager and when you switch back to the 2nd ORTHOS (and before clicking the Start button) the app will pick up the change in affinities and select appropriate CPUs again.

I only had a Hyperthreaded P4 to test ORTHOS on and there was barely any mention of quad-core CPUs in the press when ORTHOS was being developed.

Next ORTHOS Beta will make running on quad-cores a lot easier. Send e-mail if you want to test that new version before public release.

Very nice CPU. Opening task manager will of course tell whether it's 100% load. Also, he stopped the test before small FFT's came up. I can tell you from personal experience that small FFT's will bring Kentsfield to its knees.

I decided to find out for myself. I created two seperate folders for Orthos. The task manager shows only 50% CPU utilization. So the only way to stress 100% is by running four seperate instances of Prime/SP2004.

    ok, let's move on.
too busy today and the next week,
so send the chip to my friend.

    as his test bellow
    3.8G @ 1.55v , Tower120 cooling
    4*sp2004 , 30min
    ambient=27c

That's an excellent ratio for just 1 processor (with 4 cores of course ). That's an awesome benchmark Victor.

With the current ORTHOS Beta you'd have to specify the process affinity in a shortcut that starts ORTHOS or by going into the Task Manager, changing the process affinity for one of the ORTHOS processes to use only CPU# 2 & 3, and go to that instance of ORTHOS and click Start.

    hehe, what's no correct, why do't u try asign 1&2 cores for 1st orthos, and 3&4cores for 2st orthos, loading 100% i m sure

have you tried setting the processor affinity from within task manager, so you can choose what version of ORTHOS, runs on what cores?

"The command and conquer model," said the EA CEO, "doesn't work. If you think you're going to buy a developer and put your name on the label... you're making a profound mistake."
