6800ES B1 bugged @ 370ish max. FSB boot (the rest upped with clockgen). Probly Retail B2 and Allendale are ok.
So far tried with 1:1 and 2:3...Heres out of the box with TT Big Typhoon with 1.48Vcore in bios that actualy overvolted to 1.53V.

has anyone tried e6600 stepping 5 B1??... Or is the fsb bug specific to the E6800...
What CPU temperatures are you getting with various reporting software?
I am setting up this same P5WDG2-WS Pro with a week 27 E6600, and have seen temps up to 104 degrees with overclocking and a Scythe Ninja!! A pinch warm perhaps? I have no current plans to water cool, any suggestions. Even at stock I am getting very high temperatures.
Would I want to use 004 BIOS with an E6600?
If so, where do I find it?

104°C is seriously bad news whatever is reporting it.
If you've disabled the thermal throttling in the BIOS you will be shortening the life of the chip quite seriously imo. AFAIK Intel recommends a max hysteresis temperature of 85°C.
great 975x board![]()
dumo do you think that the p5b deluxe (965) is batter ?

This is a bit of a dumb question - but on some pictures of this board the NB cooler has 4 hooks around it (even though only 2 are used). Yet on your board you seem to only have 2?
In this thread Sneaky shows the board he bought from eWiz - and it has 4 hooks around the NB?
So what's right?
I'm looking to fit my Swiftech NB cooler to the board and 4 hooks is always better than 2 (as it is it moves around on my P5W-DH and isn't straight)
I haven't try P5B, but with Gigabyte 965P-S3 (which probly similiar) FSB scaling is really high.Originally Posted by cupra
Imo, this board so far is the best 975X for FSB and I hope it will be the same (high scaling/stable power) with cpu's mhz when I go subzero.
After all these conroe boards...Dead or alive.
And this Foxconn 975AB is the worst one

Still won't post @>375FSB. A few members like Andre Yang, OPB and PCCriminal don't have this problem with E6600~6400.Originally Posted by xgman
Actualy, its not a big deal since it can scales past 370 with clockgen.
These boards are nice. Definitly some good OC results![]()
How are these clips on the mobo holding on - there's only two of them?Originally Posted by Dumo
You mentioned in another XS thread, that this is a mobo with serial 68MOAGxxxxxx and You would try another P5WDG2-WS Pro (also a 68...). What's your experience with the 68MOAGxxxxxx model, considering these clips together with aftermarket (water)coolers and OC wise as well?
