    L627A95 + P5B Dlx

Got all of my parts in yesterday, threw everything together and started going. This is actually my first watercooling setup.

    Components:

    Core2 Duo E6600 L627A795 (week 27)

    Asus P5B Deluxe WiFi

    G.Skill 2x1GB PC6400 GBHZ

    XFX 7600GT (stock for now)

Swiftech Apogee and MCP655 DC Pump

Obviously the temperature sensor on this board isn't even worth looking at

    The Setup:

Interesting cooler for northbridge (which gets ridiculously hot):
    | Intel 2500K @ 5GHz | Noctua NH-D14 | Asus P67 Sabertooth | Samsung 2x4GB DDR3 @ 2133 MHz | Crucial M4 256GB | Asus GTX 770 OC | OCZ Fatal1ty 750W | Qnix QX2710

    History: AXP-2400M, AXP-2500M, Core2 E6600 - all minimum 50% overclock

Can you do a 500x6 or 500x7 with that RAM?

Virtually silent... the 7600GT fan drowns it out
(not to mention the 2 delta 120x38 fans and the 80x50 delta fan.

Yes, there have been many people reaching 500+ with unmodded boards. There have also been many people struggling with them. I'm in between atm

    The G.Skill is incredible:

And I believe I am, in fact, cpu limited. I am hitting the same clock wall at a multi of 9 that was at a multi of 8 (3.8-3.9GHz)

The mobo is heat limited. I have the Chipforce chipset cooler. I literally burned my finger from touching the very TOP FIN. The NB runs incredibly hot. How people with the stock heatpipe cooler gets such high fsb is beyond me. I got as high as 475 before things get a little whacky. Watercooling might be a good idea, but its just too cramped. It runs much hotter than any nvidia chip.

Indeed, I was amazed to feel how hot NB was... its a good thing they used copper here... I believe alot of people have no case and fans pointed right at NB when benching.

damn bro you took it up 1.67! I was hesitated already at 1.65.. I think my e6600 and yours are about the same eventhough different batch. But you were able to run 1:1 @ 430fsb; I had to do 4:3 because of the stupid p5w memory divider problem.

It ain't copper - just copper colored aluminum. I lapped the entire set of stock sinks and out comes the silver.

You would not believe how badly the factory applied the paste to the NB cooler on the die. only about a quarter of the die had paste on it!

I got the beta of clockgen that supports the P5B deluxe. I ran a few super pis at 3.9GHz but I'm not going to push any harder until this weekend after I lap the IHS and NB.

Looking good. Lapping the northbridge has given little to no improvement for me. I worked my SPI time down using the 4:5 divider that actually works in 0614. I think I can get to 12s after messing with memory timings. Now the real question: will I get to 4GHz.

Last night I was checking my email and out of no-where, everything shut down. Reseting CMOS did nothing. I checked each stick of memory and they are both good. I believe my chip got KO'd.

I can therefore not recommend running these chips at 1.6V for 24/7 usage.
