I think people calling your block a very good stormreplica is a compliment.

It's not really a replica, it's based off the same principles but mixes elements of several proven block designs and the result is a nice block.

@Jochen: Sorry that I misread your comment, I thought you were being sarcastic. I've got to keep in mind the language differences!

Also, I've seen a lot of custom blocks posted here only to be ridiculed. Then again, sometimes ridicule isn't entirely uncalled-for.

    Anyhoo...

@Pietach: Any plans to sell these or (please!) a two-prong version? If you can keep manufacturing costs at that €8-10 range, you could significantly undercut the current high-end blocks even factoring in labor costs. If performance is anywhere near the Storm or MP-01, you could price these at ~€35-40 and they'd fly off the shelves.

Of course, if you wanted to do that you might have to reduce the bling-factor on the hold-down plate. You know, maybe replace it with something a little less, er, copyright-infringing.

    enought with the "looks like"

it looks like storm because of impigment
it looks like antarktica\rbx because of 3 barbs
it looks like ek flow\tdx\cuplex pro\any other plexi top because of the plexi
it looks like apogee\storm\mp-5\++ because of hold down plate

in short, it looks like an waterblock!

could you explain picture 1, 2 and 3?
The picture number 1,2,3 - that is the pattern to drilling
Next step: more holes in the same area
    Will be 30-36 openings
Also think about making a two barb version
    Will be two

    why 3 barbs..not sure I understand why??

(niech ktoś IM napisze że top zastosowałem gotowy od innego bloczka i dlatego sa 3 "barbs" i jeden bedzie zakrecony.

The top of the block is CNC made, but Pietach bought it on allegro (substitute of ebay.com ) and that's the why the are 3 barbs and one will be locked

Would it be possible to widen the surface area this thing actually cools? Right now it looks better suited to IHS-less cores - something like the MP-05 might outperform it on cores with IHS due to the larger cooling area.

Very nice job indeed! And I agree with the 2 barb theory. I too have made both 2 and 3 barb blocks and there is no advantage to the 3 barb.

The block itself looks really nice but what really catches my eye is the sweet hold down plate. Are you making anymore so people can test them out on newer procs?

I'll make a version of the blocks with only two barbs- the third hole will be locked.
I have never sold blocks abroad and I don't know how to solve the problem of payment ( I don't have a foreign currency account).
I'm going to make 6 blocks soon, and you can see the parts of them in the photos below.
They haven't been tested yet. As soos as I make tests, I'll show you the results.
If someone would like to buy it, I'l try to solve the problem of payment. I'll go to the bank and I'll ask about a foreign currency account.
