I have had mine for 3 days and it seems to be vary stable compared to the
p5wdh that died on me.I have a x6800 fsb @355x11 Vcore @ 1.500 cpu is stable but haveing some issues with my ram corsair 8000ul 4-512 sticks.
At fsb 2 350x11 it seems to be fine with timing at 4334.Iam trying to make up my mine on getting ocz pc2 8000 vx2 or the corsair 6500 c3 and then trying to fined them.

    x6800 on phase

    2x1900 c/f on water
    4-512 corsir 8000ul

I've decided to go with a new laptop instead of this Core 2 Duo build i've been working on but i already ordered my Asus P5WDG2-WS PRO so if anyone on here is looking to buy one new and unopened for a couple dollars less then other retailers let me know.

Those of you that are running the 0004 beta BIOS, do you have vCore options below 1.4v after flashing? For some reason i don't now. I even shut down and removed the battery (which was a pain in the $#$!) and then cleared the CMOS but i still don't have anything less then 1.4v now.

Also, how far are the temps off on this board? I'm using the stock Intel cooler on my E6300 till i grab a new cooler in a few days and i'm doing 2.8GHz (400Mhz) 1.4v and hitting like 82C under load in PC Probe lol.

I just went back into the BIOS again after rebooting and now the lower vCore options are available again. Don't know what was up with that. How come i don't have the option to lower the multiplier like some other boards do? I would like to lower it to 6x and see how high the FSB will go. I'm at 450Mhz FSB right now but even though the CPU seems farely stable i think i need to change the settings somewhere cause the FSB/Mem doesn't seem to be.

me too with the multi option...i think we will have to change it with an MSR editor..but..that seems such a damn hassle..the AI Booster says it can but mine does not.

1)Mmm...i also lost the vCore option below 1.4v after flashin' 0004,but somehow it appears again when i reboot.
2)i use ninja plus on my E6300(@2,8G) 1.36v,and the temp is 50C idle!! also in PC Probe.I think ws-pro read more temp then it acutally does.

So what are the BIOS setting ranges for this board?
    e.g.

    vMCH, vFSB, vCore, vDimm, etc.

vcore has more options than you will ever need. by the .125 icrements. (i know it goes above 1.6)
    vdimm is max 2.4v
    Vmch is max 1.8v
    multiplier goes to 20x
cant remember the rest of the settings sorry

Bought this board anyway so here are the max settings in the stock BIOS I got.

Max voltage settings available in BIOS.

    RAM: 2.4V (in 0.05V steps)
CPU VCore: 1.7V (in 0.125V steps)
FSB Termination Voltage: 1.5V (in 0.1V steps)
MCH Chipset Voltage: 1.8V (in 0.1V steps)
ICH Chipset Voltage: AUTO, 1.05V and 1.20V

    Other notables ATM;
    CPU Frequency: 100-550
CPU "unlocked" multi: 6x to 11x ---- WTH? 11x multi maximum on an Intel extreme CPU??????

Wont boot with FSB over about 380MHz, max FSB in Windows 407MHz@1.5V MCH.

Are you running the 0004 Bios, this solved the 11x Multiplier limitation for me (I am oinly running 13x (on air, WC is in the works).

Sorry for this very noobish question, but what are those 2 insanely large slots, and what exactly are they used for? Frist time I've seen em.

I'm kinda torn between this card adn the P5W DH deluxe. Could we have a rundown of the basic differences between the two?

The two long ones are PCI-X slots, for 64bit PCI cards. The differences have been asked previously I am not sure if it was answered though.

On the multiplier, I just loaded the 0307 bios, which then locks the multiplier back to the max 11.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but is this till a good 975X board to get?

I could finally make proper use of my PCI-X RAID card and have OCing too. WOOT.

I have a 6600 on this motherboard, O/Ced to 3.2GHz, runs very well, will O/C (stable) to 3.55GHz, I would recommend using Ram that uses Micron D9GMH/D9GKX chips, I am using 2GBs of Crucial Ballistix PC6400 on it.

I am looking to get a Xeon3060 for this board but have some good low latency Geil RAM. Is the board picky about RAM? So far these sticks work good on my Commando board.
    My System today:
    Core i5 3570K | Gigabyte G1 Sniper 3 | 24GB GEIL Golden Dragon DDR3 | 3x Gigabyte GTX670 OC | Corsair AX1200 PSU | 2 x 128GB Corsair Force F3 in RAID 0 | Double Heatercore / Apogee GT watercooled | 3 x 27" Samsung S27A950D

I did use a Geil PC6400C4 (GX22GB6400UDC) 2GB kit on this motherboard for a few months, had a E6600 @3.2GHz running well, highest stable overclock 3.45GHz with the Geil Ram, so there is no problems at all using it with this Ram, but I think it runs slightly better with Ram that uses the Micron D9GMH (and I would think the D9GKX chip as well) chip, rather than Elpida chips.
