    New CPU Mount

    i will be trying this little jem out on my cascade later this week to see how it performs

    to start with i will hook it up to a fx57

    some pics

    i had the internals made to fit an ld evap but was told it could be supplied to fit
    most evaps out there

    Looks like expanded polyurethane foam to me, very good insulator. I got that pm too

    i have been using vapo mounts for a while now but there is a problem with that
    1 they dont like it

    2 the cost

    so when this unit came up i thought i would give it ago and so far i like it

    i am unsure right now but it seems quite dence

    when i set the unit up i will fix a k type the outside see how well it works

    I have noticed that for some here a sir clip and a bit of pipe lagging will do although
    I have never understood how someone will spend $1400 on a build and then skimp on the mount

    But others only want the best out there

    In this case it seems to come down to cost

    Until now I have used vapo clamshell mounts as i have felt they were the best imo but now there is a choice and I like this unit

    bazx tell us if your new enclosure worked ok with the cascade. Any condesation problems around?

    sure i will have it on a fx 57 in the next few days to find out

    also i will fit a temp prob to the out side

    see how much cold is getting out compared to ambiant

    ok tryed it out now and with the mount hooked to a 57@3.6 there was no condensation

    evap temp -93

    also glued a k to the outside of the mount wall to see how much cold was getting out

    and @-93 evap temp idle the outside of mount was 6c and that was running for an hour

    Umm If Gray has not goten mine still or mine doesn;t do LGA775 i may have to get one asap a si think my unit is now finshed and uner laod testing at Gray's!

    Baz ya got anymore or get more? i got shot of the Pm

    Very nice bazx I was looking at those mounts as well

    Have you got any figures on your fx yet I am sure if my cascade was colder I could squeeze more out of mine

    this cpu mount will not work on intel 775 socket

    sorry but i find it ugly too heheheh, for 99$ should be nicer lol
