    Exclamation P5W DH - Chassis Intruded! ???

    My board is crazy:

It's new, arrived today, but when i power on, after the bios post:

    Chassis Intruded !
    Fatal Error... System Halted!

And i can't do anything, no access to the bios, nothing. I read the manual, but the Chassis Intrusion jumper is in default. Already claered cmos, but the same.

I don't now what to do.

    Any ideas?

    Sorry about my English.

check out your manual for chassis intrusion detection header pins.
probably you miss a jumper from there.

I've had a similar problem, took out the CMOS battery, reset both the Chassis Intrusion and the CMOS jumpers and the problem was fixed.

i took out the battery abou 14 hours and, restarted but problem still there. 1 question, when we remove the cmos battery, it cleans the cmos, correct? because when i removed the battery i didn't move the cmos jumper to clear position.

    You have to:

    1. Remove the battery
    2. Change the position of the clear_cmos -jumper for 10 secs
    3. Change the jumper back to it's normal position
    4. insert the battery back
    5. Voila!

lol 3 secs is fine to take out the battery but ensure you have removed the power cable from the power supply too or it'll keep it's settings. Simple as
