conroe + Ti4200 would be fun.

    revive a real classic.
that card had a good 2 year run, even after it was discontinued.

Conroe on 3-phase power??? I have a lot of doubt about Conroe on this board. And, of course, the box does not mention Conroe. Best of luck but you should consider a backup CPU when Conroe will not boot.

when the mb supports prescotts and pentium D then a conroe will be a piece of cake
and yea, box doesn't mention but asus site does.
    look here: http://www.asus.com/news_show.aspx?id=3801

btw, it's very possible that this mobo doesn't support OC at all.
no voltage options (or very narrow, like vddr to 2.6v and no vcore chg)..
most asus matx boards don't allow to change even fsb from bios :f

I didn't say it would not support Conroe, I said I had my doubts. Big difference. Having another Core 2 Duo workhorse in the stable will be a benefit, for sure. Please let us know how it works out. OK?

the GA-965P-S3 also is only 3-phase... the foxconn P9657AA-8EKRS2H has also 3 phase and can hit about 413 MHz FSB.

Hmmm i download manual of this mobo, and in bios is only option for timing's. No FSB/vcore/vdimm setting's

Life sometimes gets in the way of what we want to do.

Certainly brave, but may not be that impossible. As the P4P800's /SEs have scaled 290MHz with stock, or little voltage bump
    Waiting for Crysis

P4P800-SE did "stock" ~300FSB (at least mine)... P4C800 also managed 280+ without problems...

ontopic - this is the kind of mobo that's made for mods
a E4400 with BSEL mod and a clean vmod and a little Clockgen should easily make a nice cheap C2D 3GHz team
