why would doing all that to the cmos have any affect on the settings in the bios?

if you flash a new bios using the windows program surely it will have the same affect than flashing from the dos one?

I was wondering that as well. I flashed 0701 in windows and it seems to work fine.

    That

That bios, even the one that is modded(0801), have the same voltages(maximum) 1,65-1,50-1,20-1,70 Volts, last is Vcore.
Mine Mb boot at fsb 420 with 1,60 Vcore, but no more than 433,7 Mhz Fsb...
I tried all bioses greater than 0602 an still the same...
Even if I low down the multiplier at 8X or 7X...
Has anyone succed to use that modded bios for more than 1,65 MCH voltage?

BECAUSE it does and this is how I got vcore options on my p5wdh, and you should reflash the bootblock. You should ALWAYS clear cmos after flashing a new bios. I know that often you don't have to but you SHOULD always clear it.

Does the P5W DH boot slow in general? I just ordered one of these for my E6600. I thought my DS3 booted slowly, I hope this thing doesn't boot slow!

youre honestly basing your board decision on the couple of seconds extra it might take when you boot it?

Hey - everybody's telling me I've should have gotten this board to begin with if I'm using an E6600. I would prefer it not to boot slowly as I've dropped thousadns into this rig. Why have 2 RAID0 Raptors if the mobo prevents things from booting decenty quick. That said, I already ordered the board, so if it does, I'm screwed anyway.
