What's the difference between this board and M2N32-SLi, besides the cheapo RAID and better slot placement?
I think im going to have to sell my current Asus board and get this.. Looks alot better designed.. I hope they fixed how the memory goes into the slots aswell, I dont like running 2 dimms that close together. From the pictures it looks like they did...

I think the heat pipe design is better and also location of the 8/pin power. It also has the lcd poster which is suppose to help out OC. I think overall this board is more of a stylish alternative to the M2N32-SLI.Originally Posted by vitaminc

that is my only beef with the M2N32-SLI as well. but i don't like the 24-pin connection being paralell with the expansion slots, i like them paralell along that backside edge like they have been with upper end boards for a while now. something i am sure i could get use to though...who's gonna be the first here to post some useful info on OC-ability?Originally Posted by arisythila

ouch. my M2N32-SLI arrived yesterday. RMA time
Besides layout changes I see no difference. But thats a reason non-the-less

what they need to do about that LCD is make a little plug in on the back side, or on the front side of the board, so you can plug it in, and put it wherever on the case that you want...sorta like how the power switch and such goes..
That's nice... real nice.
That's the biz, sweetheart.
REMO FOR PREZ!
I never heard of this board before. What does the lcd display? How big is it? Anything else special about this board?
As I'm typing this post, mobo is idleing on the test table:
It gave me so many headaches until I’ve fixed Vcore in the BIOS!
I was going mad, re-gosted system couple of times… 3DM2001 runs fine with HW T&L, but with software it would crash eminently. Same thing with 3DM06 GFX test worked fine, but CPU test would fail… And when I was just to gave up, I’ve rechecked every option in the BIOS, and finally set the Vcore in the proper value.
There is the this thing with this BIOS, you first set the Vcore range, and then you set exact value. And this X2 4600 of mine really needs exact 1.4V!
And about the display… it’s nice, but really useless if your system is against the wall…

I will have this board in about 2 days aswell. I will post pictures.

Wow, looks pretty cool. It will be interesting to see more reviews. Some Asus boards are really good. Others are just so-so.Originally Posted by Nedjo

Now I know why they placed so many lights on the mobo, and why DFI hasn't yet launched their LP for sAM2!
Naturally I've tried overclocking. And what a surprise!
I've vent straight to the 9x300 'cos that was the freq. that was achievable with Foxconn. And guess what! CPU was set to 3.6 GHz!!!
Long story short: when you use 7x multy, after 300 MHz for HTT mobo is returning the multy to the 12!!, When using x8 multi same thing is happening after 270 MHz for HTT, and with multi 9x, after 254 MHz for HTT!
This is horrible disappointment!
I’ve edited mine previous post with the glorification prior to this reviling!
I’ve used latest beta, and the only downloadable BIOS from the ASUS site!
P.S
Foxconn also has some strange bugs, but that is the story for another thread (unless you want me to write about them in this one?)
Apparently it is not an easy task to develop top quality flawless AM2 mobo. And ‘till DFI doesn’t launch their LP, there is no real choice for the hard core users! Sadly![]()

What about the PCI-E x1 sound card the mobo comes with, is it better than a X-Fi, or will it just get the job done and take the load off the CPU?

i dunno, mine was shipped out too. and i can't cancel order. so we'll see what happens. if it can't clock or get stable or have issues then i would just have to suck it up and wait for a better bios or return it. i think the looks of the asus board already worth the money.Originally Posted by arisythila
