The board is important, but so is the CPU. This 6600ES did 4.1GHz with air cooling, so I knew it had potential. A good board will certainly help. But it won't turn a so-so overclocking chip into a great one.
500+ FSB is becoming quite commonplace. But most of the results are with a 6 or 7 multiplier. Much harder to do with a higher multiplier. You need both good cooling and a good CPU.
