You might also try bios rescue when you have to remove jumper, insert floppy and it will try rewriting bios. Just take a look at Intel bad axe bios download section, it has everything you need to know

Is you bad axe rig always on 24/7 or you are powering it on/off daily, overclocking, resetting settings etc (or changing settings often)? Glad to hear that your boad is still working fine with conroe even overclocked
