Also with 0088 I get that vcore option. But I can't use it, if I use it I get black screen
Maybe I should flash with 0088 and load windows two times and then enter bios on the third reboot?

No, it must be safe the first time.

Not possible to use it though the Vcore-option with 0088....
    Huuuum..
Has the character of "AUTO" changed into yellow and white?

Auto is always white (in the list it's white and under Jumpersettings it's blue like everything else), if I go to vcore and press enter I will get that list where it's supposed to be different vcore options but it's only auto there
Flashed to 0078 now and rebooted 3 times but no luck, going to try it again 2 times.

xgman: don't think it makes much of a difference. I did it your way first then OPB told me to have /n last.

If you aren't getting vcore options after a BIOS flash in addition to clearing the CMOS remove the battery when you do so and make sure your mobo is not getting power. Ie unplug or switch off the PSU or unplug the mobo from the PSU. I just switch off my PSU.

    0901 BIOS is also here:

Also try disabling C1 control if nothing else works. Which CPU do you have?

btw, malficar, who's that in your avatar?

Got atx pulled out, battery out, cmos reset, nothing but microcode update enable and after flash is done I shut it down and do the things above.
    I use a E6600 ES.

    Tried 0078 now and doesn't work OMEGA3-san
Maybe I should try 0088 and reboot one time, two times and three times to see if I can use it then?

    Huuum.

Another some seems to have the cause...
To become a blackscreen is doubtful, if it set the Vcore.

I know someone with the issue, I think, also with an E6600ES Step 5. I don't think he ever got it resolved. :-/ At one point I think he could adjust vcore but it would always be 0.9v actual. Maybe its an issue in a select batch? Good luck. :-/

Weren't they supposed to remove ES compatability when C2D got released? Maybe that's what they've done in 0901, Nicke?

If you read the thread you will see that it's not certainly 901 I got problems with, it's _ALL_...

    Sorry, missed that part.
I had the same problems you have but I fixed it by removing and re-inserting the battery, and as that didn't help you I took a guess.

In addition to which, my E6300 ES still works perfectly. So i don't think they did, no.

This still hasn't helped my latency issues, at any speeds above 380mhz on the FSB i cannot run anything other than SPD (which default to 5-6-6-18). No matter if the DRAM divider is set to 760mhz or the lowest. And this stuff can run 900mhz 4-4-4-12 with low fsb.

Nemo-chan, or more appropriately Nemoto Harumi.

I am at a loss for you fellows that can't get vcore. Until I removed the battery, made sure power wasn't reaching my board, and then cleared the CMOS for a minute, I had the same problem, a vcore with just the "auto" option. Now I have a full range. I corrected the problem back when I had the 0602 BIOS and vcore stuck @ auto.

I'd say try switching off your PSU and not upnplugging the mobo, or if it doesn't have a switch unplugging the cord from it.

    Here's how I do it:

Remove power from the computer by pulling the plug or switching the PSU off.

    Remove the Battery.

Move the CMOS jumper to CLEAR.

Press the Start Button on the case to drain the capacitors.

You may leave the board in this condition for as long as it takes to clear the CMOS. If a short 30 second clear or a 15 minute clear doesn't work, try an 8 hour clear then a 24 hour clear.

Move the CMOS jumper to Normal.

    Replace the Battery.

Apply power to the computer by plugging the power in or using the switch on the PSU.

Press the Start Button to power the computer up.

Press the Delete key on the Keyboard.

Once you enter the BIOS set the DATE and TIME then Load Optimized Defaults.

Similar experience here, no vcore on 0502, flash to 0701, no vcore, reset CMOS (didn't even take the battery out), couple of reboots and the vcore and vdimm control became available. I find that the easiest way to flash BIOS is with the Asus BIOS flashing tool and a USB data key.

I guess I should also mention that I am using the E6700 ES Step 4 QLLO if that matters at all.

So far I have personally had no headaches with vcore on both a Conroe 6700 B1, and a Presler 920.

What happens if you set vcore in AI Booster?

If i were you I would stick with the 901 bios from eher on in and leave eveything unplugged and unpowered like it was said above for a while. Somewhere in the process of clearing, restting rebooting etc. I think your options will return. Obviosly this should not be happening at all regardless, and Asus should look into this at this point.

After flashing to Bios 0901, everything within the BIOS options seem to be working fine. However, cpu speed and fsb are not reading correctly from within Ai Booster eventhough cpu speed is reported correctly under My Computer properties. All these readings were detected correcly by Ai Booster with Bios 0701. Is anyone else having this problem?

I use CPUZ, not AI booster, if someone is kind enough to answer my questions - then I will be able to flash (with confidence), try it out and report back.

    Cheers
