Shamino, or LardArse here in XS, gave NVIDIA´s nForce 590 SLI for Intel reference board some XS treatment.
The results are far from being impressive, but at least he tried it![]()

You're pretty limited on the cpu you have to get in that case. I hope they can fix it or everybody with Sli will have to hope for moddied drivers to always work with Intel.

I hope they fix it cause we don't want another nvidia flop at the Intel side.
Intel FTW!

I looks like the reference board, so we can hope/expect more from board like DFI.
Please, please just be aty reference board :p
Or else, RD600.
Does anyone know if DFI will make a lanparty board based on the 975 chipset? If not, then SLI overclockers are doomed![]()
whats wrong with the rd600? sli will work fine on them too.

The first is with the ATI RD600
The second is not with the 975 chipset, but with Nvidia 590 SLI chipset.....
sorry but both are NF590SLI IEOriginally Posted by Charloz24

and what does the 975 Chipset do again? I forget...

Modern Ram, makes an old overclocker miss BH-5 and the fun it was
have two x16 slots and overl:banana::banana::banana::banana:s well, what you need for sli and conroe. dfi is making an rd600 board, why would it make two 590s?

nothing spectacular... the 965 is "supposed" to have a more mature memory controller but performance data shows otherwise. only difference between a 975 and 965 in performance is the dual PCIe x16 on the 975X. the 965 has x8 SLI, x16 single card.Originally Posted by nn_step
590 SLI is still immature and (when reviewed by anandtech) is very competitive with Intel and ATi solutions.

i'm actually awaiting the 590 SLI with much excitement. nVidia hasn't dissappointed since the nF3 chipsets and i doubt they will dissapoint this time. this is only a reference board...

not looking good so far though lol

i hear that a new north brigde is coming out in december for the 590 and that it will put it on par with the 975 for overclocking with sli supporti just hope thats true! and rd 600 does not support sli it supports crossfire same with the 975

well I read that DFI was not having to much luck with this board either, they only got 350FSB so far... seems like a dud.![]()

Tweaktown.Although on the other hand, nVidia’s nForce 590 SLI chipset is only reaching around 350MHz on the reference motherboard. We’ll have more for you on this later in the week in a very exclusive article from Taiwan.
No, that's from the nVidia reference board.Originally Posted by AlbanianOC
