    yeah and in the meantime there are clients out there with boards that doint work and yet they put C2D on the box ? (or did they NOT do that)
    asus and abit, are they related ?

    I tested Abit AB9 today..bios I think 06/28 2006

    Not worked with 6600ES step5..

    C2D retail, doesn't mean it supports ES.

    mmk, UPS messed up my shipment, so i'm not really sure when i'll have everything set up

    here is the 1.1 bios for the abit ab9 pro conroe supporting motherboard

    released 21/7/6

    tested working for cpu E6300 allendale and E6700 and X6800 conroe B2
    and solve some problem of high frequency of ddr module

    so am i right in thinking this board is not conroe compatable out of the box? and is your ab9 the pro or normal version?

    Hmm i was thinking of this board for a E6400 ES A1, maybe thats a bad idea, or do you think it will work?

    BTW should i go for the C2D ES or should i wait a bit and get a retail version?

    The only problem was with the engineering samples. It will support retail C2D's out of the box.
