thanks for the pics
tip, you don't need to use the tiny SMD's. Use a wire and regular resistor. Easier and works fine as well.
But it's a tad more fragile:

I have 975XBX,304,my question is must I mod my mobo
(picture 3) ,to have full bios optiones,or not? Thanks in advance!![]()
Hello guys, i really need help
I've got an bad axe r304, without any mod. The motherboard boots itself ( no need to press the "power" button... the system boots up.. ), but it only shows a black screen..
I try different graphic cards, memory, did a clear cmos, remove the battery..
Any other thing to try ?
I think that the bios crashed up...
Yes,just like i and others did!Originally Posted by Spacemaster

Conductive pen time...unless you own an ES that is, then the advanced menu is unlocked by default no?Originally Posted by DARK SIDE
Nop
I had two 6700 Es and one X6800 ES, none of those unlocked my badaxe 304.
The mod is fairly easy to do, conductive paint is the easiest. You can even tape a wire over the two contacts. If you can manage to get decent contact you'll have an unlocked bios ass wel.

When INTEL say that rev 303 support core 2 duo, what they mean?
http://www.intel.com/products/mother...5xbx/index.htm
They mean just a few of Rev303 will do....Originally Posted by GUSA

What is the utmost RAM voltage productivity that I can choose from BIOS for revision 304?
Thanks,

In my case - it's 0,18V difference (2,58 vs 2,40V on modded board)Originally Posted by BarboneNet

because im a noob... for my clarification...
i have a badaxe 304, and am getting a conroe x6800 (which i think is multiplier unlocked)... as far as the mods go to the mobo, i only need to do the (3x) 1kOhm resistors, the (1x) 24.9Ohm resistor, and the (1x) 0Ohm resistor to be fully modded, or is there more that im missing.
thank you VERY much in advance... i dont want to screw my mobo up.
trip.

If your is 304, these resistance additions are not needed.
And if your cpu is after the stepping5, it's need the OC DEBUG mod(Image3 of Top).

So, how tough is the mod to get a Revision 3.02 to work with Conroe?
I have soldering experience, but no SMD experience..
Just sucks to know that my Bad Axe has no future.
lads, i have a e6400 es and a badaxe rev 304 i flashed it to the very latest bios today, i have linked the jumper points with a conductive pen and have all the options available to me.....
my problem is, i cant get my fsb to actually got to 1333mhz, it did before but sometimes would freak out and go back to 1066....its getting on my nerves as the chip ran stable at 3.26ghz no probz and i wanted to push it a bit more....
can anyone either pm me the settings i need to have or post them here....
cheers again..

Had the same prob after flashing to the 1334 BIOS. I could choose 1333 FSB but it never actually set.Originally Posted by ninjagordy

Hope it works for you
