    Biostar Tforce 965p deluxe , + 450mhz fsb

    hello,

    i have an tforce 965p deluxe , and it doesnt boot , blank screen, and i cant acces to bios.

    CPU : CPU E6600 es step 5 CPU

    RAM : 2*512Mo ddr2 533 micron d9dcn ecc not registred,

    i tried with pci and pcie vga , but still not working.

    Ram and cpu are tested on other systems.

    system start , but blank screen ....

    bios issue ? 614 BST

    Probably you need another cpu to flash it to a newer bios

    step5 core duo is known for not booting with old bios versions. have a look if theres a new version on the net!

    last bios is ip96a614.bst and i read 614 BST on bios sticker

    Well i guess , you need to wait or try sending some email to the tech support for a new bios.

    Cant wait for you to get it up an runnin so you can post some benchies and let us all know about its options
    lots and lots of cores and lots and lots of tuners,HTPC's boards,cases,HDD's,vga's,DDR1&2&3 etc etc all powered by Corsair PSU's

    Does the chipset support ECC-RAM?

    The 82P965 mch does NOT support ECC
    why would you use ECC ram anyways there's no benefit for a desktop pc and your overclocking is typically limited

    Biostar made a very noticeable progress in MB manufacturing tforce series. They already have the best MB in class - Tforce 6100 s754 I just hope they continue like that also for Intel cpus

    Their Tforce 939 is a nice board too. I hope their 965 turns out just as good. Great value, especially for us who run a farm for DC projects

    Are you sure it s ddr2 ECC , the problem ?

    They worked very good on aopen 975x motherboard.

    975x does officially support ECC RAM, in contrast to P965, which does not support it! As easy as that. Get new Non-ECC RAM and have fun.

    To help drive the point home, you need new RAM. The 965 chipset doesn't support ECC ram so it won't boot no matter what you do. Get another couple sticks of RAM and go for it!

    ok , i ll buy new ram...

    and keep those ECC to test on dfi 975x, because the D9 ecc does 400mhz 3-3-3-8 @ 2.15v on my aopen.

    Use non ES CPU first and non registered non ECC ram. If you can, use a known working Celeron D just to try everything first.

    Pretty Nice for ECC RAM. Unlike some of the others I can understand the value of having a more stable and reliable system that ECC provides.

    BTW I Love the layout of this board, anyone know where we can get them from?!?

    This board did not require a BIOS of the day or week to work with various Conroe steppings or to address memory performance and stability issues
