they raised the price when their quanties got low. and yes i would do the same thing if i knew that people would pay it, and that my restock was a week off. i was actually suprised that I got a p5w-dh for 235.00. i had figured on 300.00 knowing that they would be high demand. You should also prepare yourself to pay higher than you would probably like for conroe as well. i will be getting a 6700 which the 1000 lot price is 530.00, i had planned on paying 600.00 for it, if it is cheaper than thats great. We live in a market economy. This boards were on preorder for 269.00 and they sold all they could get at another retailer. This is nothing new, I remember paying a crazy price to have one of the first 6800 ultra pci-e cards a while back.

Newegg has a classic way of pissing people off. i dont like how their prices jump up based off demand. Talk about sticking it to the customer.. Good RMA or not, this doesnt give em the right to stick it to their loyal customers. Ewiz was a good transaction. My board is here, no price gouging, no bull.

Dude it called capaitalism. No need to get your panties in a twist,If you know the price they're offering is high, its simple, don't buy it and shop around.

Newegg just re-added the Gigabyte back to their site, is it a new revision?

The cpu support list has all conroes listed as "under testing". Do any of our guys here in the know have any furthur information as to its support?

Well my Asus P5W DH Deluxe from Newegg got here today, it came with 0502 BIOS so I take it's Conroe ready, too bad I don't have one yet. I'll play with it this weekend.

When did you order this board from Newegg? I have a Conroe ES and I need the 0502 BIOS in order to boot up the board. I'm hoping the next shipments to retailers has 0502 in case there actually is an early Conroe release.

zzf actualy lowered their price (Started at $279), for those who dont have an es, I would recomend waiting till closer to release (lets say the 20th), as more boards should be available and price should have settled down a little on the asus (plus newer bios revisions may be shipping by then).
