ewiz actually lowered their price and offered free shipping. no wonder ZZF has a crappy reseller rating now, it's because of price gouging like that.Originally Posted by cronic

So let me ask you this... If you had 300 tray Conroes you were willing to sell and your price was $300 a pop shipped, would you start raising the price on everyone because of ECONOMICS 101?Originally Posted by cronic
Its a motherboard for christ sakes and yes, i do have the option of shopping anywhere i like. Doesnt mean what they are doing is right, especially since newegg as a whole has changed alot towards how they do business.

You should also prepare yourself to pay higher than you would probably like for conroe as well. i will be getting a 6700 which the 1000 lot price is 530.00, i had planned on paying 600.00 for it, if it is cheaper than thats great. We live in a market economy. This boards were on preorder for 269.00 and they sold all they could get at another retailer. This is nothing new, I remember paying a crazy price to have one of the first 6800 ultra pci-e cards a while back.
talk about high, but they will sale out.

Well my Asus P5W DH Deluxe from Newegg got here today, it came with 0502 BIOS so I take it's Conroe ready, too bad I don't have one yet. I'll play with it this weekend.

Heh...
$240-$260 for a mobo?
Can these things make gold too?
I hear the new beta BIOS adds that feature to the DFIOriginally Posted by BWR
When did you order this board from Newegg? I have a Conroe ES and I need the 0502 BIOS in order to boot up the board. I'm hoping the next shipments to retailers has 0502 in case there actually is an early Conroe release.Originally Posted by nicepun
DFI board is currently in stock at Newegg.

zzf actualy lowered their price (Started at $279), for those who dont have an es, I would recomend waiting till closer to release (lets say the 20th), as more boards should be available and price should have settled down a little on the asus (plus newer bios revisions may be shipping by then).
