the asus 975 has the same bug. go over like 320 fbs and the system just shuts off when you exit the bios, or reboot from windows, or reboot from dos or anything.
i havent tried 2-3mhz increments yet but it still works after it shuts off, it comes right back on about 3 seconds later and everything seems ok.

975x can come right back about 3~5 sec, but 965 cannot.

So 965 is still has some bugs and I need to solve 3D problems.

AndreYang - Wondering if you could measure the height of the caps around the socket. I'm try to see if the Scythe Ninja retention rails will fit overtop. If anyone know already that be great.

Any news on the P5B and solved bugs? New BIOSes?

I know the P5WDH has DDR2-300 and DDR2-400 RAM deviders in the BIOS but the smallest devider on the P5B is DDR2-533? Are there more deviders to come in final BIOS releases?

Is there a way to obtain the pdf-manual for the P5B? I know it's not listet on the Asus site but who knows...

The P5B deluxe almost cost the same as the P5W DH, i think this second one is a lot better option

Here in Spain (the cheapest site I've found)

    P5B deluxe: 199€
    P5W DH: 209€

If I could get to 400x9 (3.6Ghz) i'd be quite happy. I'm still wondering which board is better ...P5B Deluxe or P5W DH.

I'd say the 975 board since the chipsets been out longer and has more mature drivers etc.

I don't think that's really a compelling reason... Intel usually has pretty much the best drivers and while maybe the BIOS for the 975x chips is better .. both the P5W and P5B are new boards .. so new BIOS's for all ...

The i975 has the better northbridge and the P5B has the better southbridge. Most likely you want the i975 then

So I discuss with ASUS RD what problems with 965 chip. ASUS didn't get retail 965 C1 chip, so we are not sure that ES chip has any different for retail 965 C1 chip.

We still wait Intel to get us retail 965 chip and try to solve these bugs.
Andre u still have this problem or the new bios solved it?
    Thanks in advance!

Quick question. What does ES mean? It seams to be an acronym of desire.

I saw a picture, I think here or on another forum, but the Ninja should fit just fine. Not sure about ram clearance though, I'm going with TR Ultra 120, just in case.

P5W-DH doesn't leave me with any extra SATA ports though . I have 2 SATA DVD-/+R and 3 sata HDs .. be nice to have 1 extra spot to plug stuff in (save for the eSATA port).

I was really looking forward for the next Asus board. Now Im very dissapointed , this board is just as pricy as the other high end 975 boards.
