I am having around 5-10 buckets ready to upload at any time speaking, but how the hell can I improve my compression speed? It slows everything down, LOL... Upload size/speed isn't the problem or bottleneck...
Please help me

Main rig:
CPU: I7 920C0 @ 3.6Ghz (180*20)
Mobo: DFI UT X58 T3eH8
RAM: 12GB OCZ DDR3-1600 Platinum
GPU/LCD: GeForce GTX280 + GeForce 8600GTS (Quad LCDs)
Intel X25-M G2 80GB, 12TB storage
PSU/Case: Corsair AX850, Silverstone TJ07
use winRAR for compression, PM haltech for it
I tried already, but it slows everything down?Originally Posted by Bloody_Sorcerer
I'll try again...

Turn the compression down. It'll result in more upload, but a quicker compression.
WinRAR FTW over here.
possible to use a dedicated machine for compression/upload/download?

it is called a server. will take alot more power though....Originally Posted by STEvil

Modern Ram, makes an old overclocker miss BH-5 and the fun it was
good for some older servers or spare towers that arent doing DC projects possibly though.

possibly a data compressing Card to help boost performance.. however those are hard to come by and are kind of Pricy....

Trust me, use winRAR. if you need it, PM me...
It is my dual core rig -> 1 core is running grid, the other IS dedicated for MJ12.Originally Posted by STEvil
I'll try less compression, then. Seems like a need to find settings that work for me...

It worked!!!
I am using WinRar with low compression. Uploads are larger, but faster. Just dumped the 150k URLs I downloaded yesterday

Told you so! Low compression eases the pain!Originally Posted by Martijn
