Thread: Help with vdimm & vcore mods for ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe, please.

    For the Vcore mod, connect a 50k VR between the pin marked in post #9 and ground. Decrease resistance to increase voltage.
    If the pin on the chip is too small to solder to, could someone post a high res picture of the chip so I can look for an alternative solder point.

    Cool! Thanks! But you're right, those legs are quite tiny. Here's a close-up I managed to snap, without removing a heatsink. Kind of crappy due to bursting flash, but only this way I could get the traces to show up on a pic.





    EDIT: It looks like that soldering pad I marked might be the best choice for an alternative for Pin7, am I correct?

    I have not done vcore mod myself yet, but have you also looked at the 1st pic that ^don.k's^ added in post #22. The top soldering pad I marked on my pic was the one I was not sure about. I was waiting for someone to confirm that since ^don.k's^ marked the very very top one. Now,that I think about it, the soldering pad he marked is the correct one...

    hello
    i was wondering if a 50k resistror wud work. so if i set the voltage to jus say 1.8v, the acctual voltage wud be sumthing like 1.95v depending on the type of resisitor used. can sum 1 confirm plz. THIS ONE: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...50k%20&doy=2m9

    hello
    i was wondering if a 50k VR wud work. and if i set settings in the bios to 1.8v, wud the actual voltage be like 1.95v depending on the resistor i use.

    Here is correct spot for vcore mod:



    And the reading spot for vcore is also bad, the another leg of choke is the right one (Asus M2N-E)
