7900 GTs @ 1.7v/2.17v... does it get any better?

I just want to see what someone else can do with dual 7900 GTs on Conroe, because, from what I have seen, these are the highest clocks benched on 7900 GTs (Referencing both ORB and HWBOT). And I don't consider myself among the elite. I also have a question, can the oscillating resisitor be lowered to ~30Kohm? Because the recommended is 45Kohm, but I need the 38Kohm im using right now for decent stability @ 1.7v. I'd like to go lower, I think i would break 13k. I dont, however, want dead cards.

with my friends setup i benched 750/850 on zalman vf900 1.7v.

    what was your cooling?

oh btw i find the benchmarks are faster with the ram under 900 even though it would run about 985 or so have you checked if it can be faster at 800-850 ram speeds?

Very nice compgeek, I'm still undecided on whether to go 7900gt or x1900xt, I'm leaning towards the GT, maybe we can do some single card competitions my conroe should be here soon enough

the 1.7v is where you remove a resistor right?

    Hey compgeek,

I added the core and memory overclock in the collapsed result view, so it's easier for you to search.

Seems like you've got the highest core overclock. I can find a few with higher memory clocks though:

It was on water, memory is bare, i am going to try benching with lower clocks as well. Know how this stuff works

1.7 is where you replace the 5Kohm resisitor with a 50Kohm, yes.

Hmmm, I dont see any SLI with higher memory . Ill take it higher, i thought this would be my ceiling but i think i can do at least 1010.
