The BIOS still needs maturing. For example, it doesn't run the 4:5 ratio as well as I would like. But all my DDR2 pairs run with no problems on this board.

I wonder if it has something to do with the boards shipped to Germany. Hard to say at this point because there are so few users. Some Europeans were also having issues with the VCore setting in the BIOS. My board came from Asia and I never had a problem with VCore. Even with shipping BIOS (401), all the VCore settings up to 1.7v were accessible.

I may be wrong about this, but I feel the Bad Axe is a little deceptive. Although people have gotten great results with that board, I'm wondering whether the FSB and CPU speeds are really reflected accurately in the SuperPi times.

I never had any problem with VCore options with the Asus board. They were all there, even on the shipping BIOS.

The only really annoying feature of the board is one it shares with the Bad Axe. The board will power down for a few seconds after you save any major changes in the BIOS, then power up again.

Hi. I don't have that particular problem. My board only shuts down temporarily after saving changes in BIOS.

my aopen does that as well maybe its a chipset thing.

Are you talking about the temporary shutdown thing or Webwilli's problem?

The Bad Axe board shuts down temporarily too, especially after you change the ratio in the BIOS. That's by design. I think it gives the board time to adjust to the new strap.

The feature will probably freak out people who've never used the 975X chipset before. When their PSU shuts off, they'll think their board just died.

For what it's worth, I'm using a 600W PowerStream that I've had for a long time. I've used it on numerous boards and it's never let me down.
