Intel D975XBX is still the best mobo for overclking Conroe.
but lots of people are not fimiliar with Intel mobo 'cos we use toooo much ASUS/Gigabyte/MSI mobo in the past.

Yes, you can overclock without soldering but you need Rev 304 and cpu step B0 or newer

by compare with p5w-dh-deluxe & dfi inf975x, badaxe is the best of all atm

asus: buggy bios, serious vdroop, hard to mod.
dfi: cannot get such high fsb, not stable like intel.
same E6600es stepping5 (same chip)
on DFI = 1.34v 3.6G dual_sp2004
on Intel = 1.3v 3.62G dual_sp2004

Going through your blog (excellent BTW) I’ve seen in the second Picture, the clear cmos function, is written in Chinese and appears some pin numbers (1.2.) and F2.

Means that when you get stuck at OCing’ you have to put the jumper in 1-2 position, restart, and press F2¿?
