Cool, this board seems quite nice especially considering the 'Infinity' badge. OC options seem great based on coolalers results.

I still want to hold out and see final RD600 boards, but depending on the prices, this might be a great option.

What the world needs is more geniuses with humility, there are so few of us left.

The board is now available in Japan. A member of Team Japan is testing. No results to report yet.

You need to remember DFI offers two types of boards. The Lanparty series for ricers, and the Infinity series for those that don't need the extra bling, but are still willing to pay for the headroom.

    Digital PWM
DFI is the first company in the industry to use digital pulse width modulation (PWM) controllers on non-server motherboards; a 6-phase digital PWM controller is incorporated on the INFINITY 975X/G board. The benefits of digital PWMs include: lower power consumption, additional space on the board with the elimination of analog capacitors, and reduction of noise effects.
I don`t see any digital PWM IC

btw this is worth extra $ :
    Six-layer PCB
DFI also upgraded its INFINITY series to a six-layer PCB. These special stacked layers on the INFINITY 975X/G reduce the signal disturbance and improve the speed of data processing.

    good point

it all most looks like there MIGHT be one right below the CPU connector but I could be wrong..

looks like normal mosfetts above the cpu socket(or left of)

also, looks like it'll be rough insulating a phase unit on there

Something tells me that picture above isn`t actual retail product (at least I hope it`s not). Just look at power connectors positioning - it`s horrible (if you using case). Althought extension slots placed perfectly well: all pci-e slots can be used at the same time and you also have at least one pci.

That picture of the power connectors is accurate. Many Epox boards have a similar layout. There's one school of thought that believes it's better to have the main ATX connector as close to the power regulation section as possible. The Abit NF7-S also had the ATX connectors in the same area, and that didn't stop people from buying that board.

Wasn't it ATi and nVidia which were supposed to digital PWM on DFI boards and not intel chipset?

This is the same board that Coolaler has been testing. He has much tighter photos. Personally I don't care if the caps are crooked. As long as the board works and overclocks like crazy.

my Chaintech VNF4Ultra has this layout. everybody complained about it, but I thought it made for better circulation personally. kept all the cables away from the PWM area and from clogging up air path upwards to the PSU. jmo.
