Is it me, or is it hard to believe some random overclocking site over dates released by Intel?

It's official because it's posted on a Russian site ?

Sorry, but the only "official" thing I have seen is the intel Roadmap that say July 23.

I can quickly photoshop up a gif just like on that russian overclocking site that says Conroe is coming out tomorrow, but it wouldn't make it true.

Same font, same colors, everything. For all intents and purpose, it would be just as "real". Show me an intel release like the one showing July 23rd and I'll believe it. Until then, this is just another mound of BS like those claims that it was going to be delayed till August/September.

That's quite the assumption to make. Since the website won't be available until July 27th that they're changing the release date for the chips? IMO, that's a stretch.

    The website states:

"It was considered Until now that the announcement of processors Core 2 duo E6xxx and Core 2 extreme X6800 takes place on 23 July, at the same time will be lowered prices on the model with architecture NetBurst. Meanwhile Intel no official statements about the date of announcement processors Conroe it made. Was indicated only month - July, and 23-24 days of this month only opened its last week.

Today we procured official information about the periods of announcement and beginning of sales of processors Conroe. For this even it was not necessary someone to force to abuse by official authorities - the documents, which narrate about the procedure of the announcement of processors Conroe simply were discovered in the open access on the spaces of the Internet.

Thus, into eight the morning on the Pacific Ocean time on 27 July it will be hour taken action NDA on the publication of tests with participation Conroe. As you can understand, such tests on different sites is already published an innumerable quantity, still more than mini- surveys it is possible to reveal in the forums. By the way, the most enterprising participants in the forums even teach to fix trade in the engineering models of processors Conroe. For the right to forego the monthly expectation it is proposed to lay out not less than $500-600.

In Moscow at the moment of removal NDA will be seven hour evening; however, we do not know, when precisely begin to appear "now already entirely officially approved" surveys Core 2 Duo E6700 (2.67 GHz) and Core 2 extreme X6800 (2.93 GHz).

I please to note that the official reminder is capable of telling, also, about the periods of the beginning of sales of processors Conroe. In the stores they have the right to appear on 27 July; however, even now Price- sheets make gaudy by the appropriate proposals, and not only in notorious Japan, but also 0 0N throughout the world.

Which is interesting, OEM- systems on base Core 2 extreme X6800 must appear already on 27 July, whereas more accessible computers on the base of the processors of series Core 2 duo E6xxx will begin to be sold only in the month. Most likely, this "odds" will be provided only for the market for finished computers, to purchase the box versions Conroe is for sure possible will be at the end of July. "
