Why does Asus go cheap on looks with the matx boards.Originally Posted by FischOderAal

The board I'm looking for is for a micro powerhouse. With physics being an issue now, the perfect layout would involve a PCIe-1x slot above the PCIe-16x slot.
I thought I was set after evga made its dual PCIexpress matx board, but then intel had to come out with this ass kicking conroe chip.
eurm
there you have it guys; will they be able to deliver within the stated 14 days?
P5B!!!!
http://www.azerty.nl/producten/produ...5b-retail.html
and for being european, their prices seem to rock
edit: this is the 965 chipset so there shouldn't be a question about it being able to support conroe

Those are the power slots Intel has been using for quite a while now, there isnt'much new about them.
Indeed, its a standard EPS12 connector. I didnt know intel used them on desktop boards, because the only place I've seen one was on my Xeon board.Originally Posted by Helmore

hi, it is the MS-7238
There really are a ton of boards. There seems to be more boards coming out for connie than there have been in the last 2 years for intel put together!!!
Is that pin convertyer necessary? Kind of like a 20-24 pin converter?

I think Asus P5WDG2-WS has been available?
http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merch...y_Code=imb_775
ASUS is making a new rev of the P5WD2-E and P5WDG2-WS to support conroe.
Anywhere to get a guaranteed 304 badaxe?

OPB that board is indeed available, but it doesn't support ConroeAsus made a new version called the P5WDG2-WS Pro
And the pro version is not available yet
And yes they are making a new revision of the P5WD2-E. Rev 1.03G with 8 phase power regulators. But i don't know about the P5WDG2-WS, but i don't think that one will support Conroe, it just gonna be replaced by the Pro i guess.

The DFI is way too expensive, but the P5W DH isn't priced too shabby, it's only about 200€Originally Posted by The Stilt

Biostar TForce P965 Deluxe

WD 160GB S-ATA
So what seems to be the best bang for the buck mobo atm?
I think the P5B and the Deluxe will be the boards to look at.
Shouldnt be all that expensive either. Hopefully :/.

IMO not unless the new rev of the P5WD2-E gets copper heatsinks with heatpipes too.Originally Posted by DaWaN

I know the P5WDG2 WS Pro is getting copper heatsinks and the board looks wicked. The only problem is that the WS boards are very expensive too.![]()

i'd say best bang for the buck would be the p5b if you're not into crossfire. slap some aftermarket heatsinks on the northbridge and mosfets and you're ready to go
P965 chipset is supports Conroe but the problem with mobo they dont have VR11 ?

Can't wait until a couple weeks when people start reviewing them.
yeah, it would be nice to see some 965 reviews; seeing you can preorder them already that shouldn't be taking too long
