    celeron 4xx series or pentium m dothan, which is quicker?

    pentium m 2mb l2

    or

    celeron m 4xx 1mb l2

    clock for clock

    i say celeron.

    when i get my rig built up, i'mma need some testers, so who's up?

    Celeron is faster but you'll need the 300$ Aopen for it

    celeron has newer features though, and enhanced on the older features. better fpu and what not ....

    well soon as i can get the cash and a bios for the board ( hope it will start up ) i'll post and we'll see what happens...

    anyone got a bios to support dothan for p4p800se?

    i have tested 430 ,730,750 and 760

    200 x 13 vs 200 x 13 and Celly wins
    Dothan @ 10 x 260 and Dothan wins

    Celly is a very powerfull chip @ 3ghz+

    Nice compare shots. From those I am willing to bet its close, but I bet in games etc... Dothan might be ahead B/C of the 2 meg L2 cache.

    yeah, dothan clock for clock, higher fsbs because of better mobos. however, the yonah cellys clock higher. not worth the aopen board though, bleh

    A CM 400 gives you the choice to get a Merom later on, pretty sweet.
    But for desktop, who cares, Conroe is just around the corner.

    753 is a lv chip iirc, 12*100. detected as a 2ghz chip eh? cpuz error?

    whatever it is, it clocks nicely with very low voltage.

    any more screenies to compare? so far it seems like the extra 1mb on pentium m is the ONLY thing keeping it afloat
