    Damn, that sucks. Now Intel SLI users are really screwed.

    Now actually, Intel chipset users are doubly screwed - the newer Intel chipsets do not support SLI or Crossfire. So it looks like if we will have to buy chipsets from the GPU makers if we want to run dual video cards.

    Actually, the 975X has Official Permission to support CrossFire (ATI signed off on it months ago). The *only* reason that current Intel chipsets other than 975X don't support CF has nothing to do with a will/won't on the part of Intel (or even ATI for that matter): P/Q965 doesn't do it because that second PCIe x16 slot is lacking on every mobo with the chipset so far (so far, instead of a second PCIe x16 slot, every 965 mobo has a third PCI slot). BadAxe has three PCIe x16 slots (but only two PCI slots). So it's a motherboard issue with the 965, not a chipset issue.
