    FW 81.85 intel SLi edition

    http://steffbard.com/drivers_old/FW81.85_mod.exe

This is old WHQL/FM driver without 7900/7600/7300 support, but with 7800/6600 it works perfect. It allows to use SLi on intel 955/975 chipsets.

    Enjoy !

    PS
Concerning about new versions of drivers address in PM.

One line and there would be support of 7900 series too, I believe. Unless there needs to be other files, but I doubt it.

    NIce Movement Big Sam..
When Mercedes brought their C111 to Talledega years ago and blew away the closed course record did it count? Yes..
That was a "factory" car and a "one of" that no one could buy and was never sold.
Records are records and that is a fact so get over it.

There is no official driver with support SLi on intel.
And we can only guess that programmers can have.

Editing inf - file will not help. 81.85 don't support 7900 under any conditions.

I have the 84.66 SLI driver for Intel and 7900's but I WILL NOT, give this to anyone. I have been talking with Big_Sam and unless he releases this driver, I am not distributing it to anyone.

If Big_Sam wants these drivers in the open, he will release them himself. Lawrywild from your post in my thread there is a problem with distributing these as said above, Big_Sam doesn't want it released.

The biggest problem with these drivers is that some of those who have already had these drivers from Big_Sam already shared them out.

These people royally shot themselves in the foot - because of the abuse (as in broke an agreement not to share), Big_Sam wont distribute the FM approved 84.21 driver set - in addition to that the latest Nvidia drivers are INTEL SLI diasabled and completely locked out.

So now no matter what happens, unless you get urself a crossfire set-up when you upgrade from AMD to Intel - as far as the hall of fames goes you have really blown it for everyone else - I can't name names (as I dont know the root cause) but you know who you are........... thanks for ruining it, not only for yourselves but for eveyone else too.

Those that want to stay with nvidia GPU's should start praying that the Intel NF590 chipset is on par with 'bad axe' as far as overclocking goes..... I know I am!!

Damn, that sucks. Now Intel SLI users are really screwed.

Now actually, Intel chipset users are doubly screwed - the newer Intel chipsets do not support SLI or Crossfire. So it looks like if we will have to buy chipsets from the GPU makers if we want to run dual video cards.

Please explain this to me ? Is it a question of money or a question of trust ?

I for one am quite willing to pay a (reasonable) fee for something I really want, just like shareware. I understand fully that a person's work is not for free distribution. But as sharing goes : who do you share your "shareware" with : friends, good friends or only very good friends ? Shareware or any software for that sake is very hard to contain I'm afraid, but it doesn't make free distribution right. To "punish" anybody else who's not involved seems a bit hard doesn't it ?

This is not a case of paying for it, it's a case of some people (you know who you are!) abused the trust of Big_Sam very early and let things out even though they had an agreement not to.

If Big_Sam gave me the ok to let my drivers out then I'd give them out but until that day, I made an agreement with Big_Sam not to let these out and I'm not about to break it.

FYI, I didn't originally get mine from Big_Sam but I have since been speaking to him and have agreed not to release the drivers since I know how much they mean to the Intel world.

Of course, we're all screwed when the G80 comes!
