TPB is siezed and temporarily shut down

ThePirateBay.org , who also heed the charge in Swedish Politics as the Pirate Party, has been shut down and servers siezed by authorities in an atempt to disrupt their torrent distribution to copywrited materials. Although no copywrite law has been violated in Sweden, political international muscle, steming from private organizations, have flexed enough to stun TPB's operations and possibly its upcoming elections later this year.

There's no illegal on their servers, it's just a torrent tracker which hosts the torrent files, nothing illegal with that according to swedish law.

Perhaps a more accurate way to say it is that Law is strange EVERYWHERE

seems all they need is some hardware to get the backup up and running and they said if theres more problems it will be moved outside of sweden , to perhaps finland no source im afraid only forum discussion. Scary part is that they took down a political organisations website aswell (and a bunch of others) , but perhaps the pigs (read cops) took the whole server room.

the funny thing is... 1 site will go down, 8 more will come up...

TPB = 1000 leechers per feed.
Mininova = "only" 100 leechers per feed.

About, not exact of course. mininova is much beter IMO.

Still a shame TPB is down because of fy laws.
