Thread: Conroe Extreme X6800@3.793G On Air Cooling

    I have noticed that deep cooling allows the same speeds at much lower voltages. For instance, the E6700 that I am currently testing allows for almost 3.9Ghz with only 1.45v. As far as getting a lot more speed though....not so much.....still working on this. Of course, that MB in the picture is most definatly not a Bad Axe.

    what happened to your 31 th countdown with the 6800 EE ?

    Hopefully...I really can't wait to see the X6800 pushed to it's limits...I'm getting too damn ancy waiting for cash for a new system, and for shuttle to release a new XPC /w Conroe support.

    When this all goes retail someone better get a conroe to 6GHz under LN2 in time.

    Early ES chips are barely hitting 5GHz...and there's only been a few of those instances...so I'm not sure how quickly 6GHz will come...but I'm sure it won't take long.
