The fsb goes from 100 to 400, that's bad for the E6300 because of the low multi and for the extreme cooling users because ... well because they are extreme. Maybe with clockgen they can do a bit more.

P5B Deluxe for me..

I have a small question (a bit OT)

I have a Silverstone TJ06 case, and I was wondering if it would be "dangerous" to get a motherboard with heat pipe like the P5B Deluxe.

The TJ06 case make the Motherboard upside down, making the cpu on the bottom of the case with good airflow. Would the Heat pipe system on those board still working or working against gravity would make it useless cooling ?

Might be stupid, but this is something I was wondering for a while now.

8 phases?! I think I know which board I will buy for Conroe. The layout is kinda nice and clean too.

The P5B Dlx is looking pretty nice...but it's layout has its disadvantages.

1) What moron decided to place the battery right beside the first PCI-E 16x slot?
2) The fanless NB heatpipe might be a problem for some big air coolers.
3) The front I/O pin panel is not color coded

Hopefully that'll change on time for the release in 2-3 weeks.

Would Tony or somebody else be able to mod the BIOS to be able to go above 400 FSB? This looks like a fantastic board but the FSB limit could definately be a problem.

That's true. If someone used a VF900, then the lower middle PCI slot will be open, but that area will get HOT! They do leave one PCI at the bottom though...that'll be good for a sound card.

Caps so close to socket is a big NO NO

In fact, Intel bad axe that I have now has them very close to socket and I can't properly install waterblock, not to mention pain in the a** insulating that area and installing SS cpu block or dice/ln2 container

For those that don't understand french, this article say the P5W-DH Deluxe will be available by the end of June with a price tag of 300Euro (removing their taxes, it give about 260us) Expensive mobo :p

P5B Deluxe looks pretty cool to me, even the distribution of slots isn't that bad, it's about time for PCI-e cards to start showing up anyway.

Still sad that the fsb is up to 400 mhz, which maybe is achivable with E6600 on water, afterall we do have 367x9 confirmed on air even now. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=100921

But all that doesn't leave much headroom if every board can't reach 400 fsb
This could grow into a pretty stabile platform for those who don't wish to go the DICE or LN2 way
