Mouawad's Vapo LS Modded by Johann

Mouawad wasnt happy with his Vapo LS and he wasnt using the unit due to the bad noise coming from the compressor and average performance so he contatcted me to fix her up.

Mods done was a compressor change to a NL11f, chilly1 rev e evap assembly, Desuperheater coil and regass to R402a.

Captube length on this one is 2.35m of 0.028

When I received the unit I popped it straigth on my loadtester and got the following temps:

    125w -25c
    150w -20c
    185w -14c

I have to say I was not impressed with the performance of the stock LS atall.

    Results after Mods:

    125w -47c
    150w -44c
    185w -40c

Amazing gains of around 25c on all loads. I also popped it on my coldbugged opty 146 and temps was really great. Idling in Windows she pulls -56c and prime loaded for an hour or so kept solid at around -51c on the evap.

    Here is some pics

some updates on this box - but i haven't had a lot of time to play with it yet.

i though i had coldbug settling in at 310x11 but i dropped the multi to 10 and raised htt to 330 and she seems fine so it must be something else ....maybe some more juice

    still room to move

plus u know about the coldbug on amd right??? that's preventing alot of ppl from getting alot further.

btw are u looking at cpu speed on mbm or on cpu-z??? cpu-z is right speed ...3380mhz ....i have to use clockgen coz of the bug

AMD price cuts were so good i just couldn't resist a last bite at the apple

ended up getting johann to lengthen the line a little bit and also install a froster as the chill control just keeps dying and dying.

    thnks johann

now to push this 4000+ to 3.6
