Forceware 91.28 - SLI possible on non-nvidia chipsets?

I have an Asus P5WD2-E with Intel 975X chipset, and tomorrow I'll have 2 XFX 7900 GT Extreme Editions ...

As we all know, without hacks it's impossible to have an SLI setup on that motherboard, but ...

... I've downloaded and installed those new Forcewares 91.28, and I see the following in the new control panel:

Does everyone see this option in the control panel? Or just those who have a board where it is psysically possible to have an SLI setup?

I'll test it tomorrow when my second 7900GT arrives, but this would be _very_ cool

The likelihood of 90Series + SLi on non-nV chipsets is around 10% if I had to guess. Definitely worth a shot though, IMO.

I'm asking because I didn't see an option for SLI in all those previous drivers - 7x.xx and 8x.xx - in fact this is the first time I see this option.

My second 7900GT will be delivered tomorrow, and I'll test if it can run in SLI

I really doubt it'll be possible, even if there is a checkbox there, as these are still betas (mostly GUI tweaks it seems, so I would not put it past them for this part to be incomplete) and they have gone so overly out of their way to make sure that SLI isn't possible on non-nV motherboards.

    Guys!
Miracles on light does not happen!
SLi does not work on intel chipsets on 91.28... Even if you will see the message that SLi mode enable, and today I managed to make it.... it does not mean that SLi works!
NV has completely changed a code of SLi - procedure in the driver and now there is no opportunity to modify it for SLi. I warned all about it !

So even you can't modify these new drivers to support SLI on non-nvidia chipsets?

    crap.

Thats not cool. I really don't see the issue. Nvidia chipsets are buggy on the Intel side and are loosing huge amounts of costomers on the Intel side for SLI.

Maybe someone should contact that guy from NGOHQ, and see if he can't do something with this new 9x.xx driver like he did with that ULI SLI patch ...

goddamnit, I really want SLI, but I don't want to give up my Intel Chipset :/

When I bought my P5WD2, there was even an SLI bridge in the box, go figure ... (there wasn't one with my P5WD2-E though)

Might as well mod the official 81.25 drivers then - at least Intel users can post offical scores on the ORB.

Big_sam was correct ... I can't get SLI working either with those new 9x.xx drivers. I was hoping they "forgot" to built in that check for nVidia chipsets.

    damnit.
