    I'm using this one:
    http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/cont...mdcpusetup.exe

    For my AMD X2 4400+

I've installed it when I first saw the initial post and it has been running since then. I can't do much now because rosetta is running :x

I'm also curious what the changes are. They must have changed something since its a new version

I will wait for feedback from you guys. I just got this CPU up from 2.76 to 2.84 for the first time when I got this DFI board. I am afraid I'll jinx myself. :p

cool. There is one thing that confuses me, why the description says stuff like this:
Allows the system to automatically adjust the CPU speed, voltage and power combination that match the instantaneous user performance need.
They make it sound like the cool and quite thingy.

Haven't noticed anything particularly different but no reason not to upgrade as they don't harm anything. I obviously used the Opteron 1.3.1 driver.

Compared the time it took to compress and decompress a 1Gb file.
There was almost a 5 Minute drop. Although it is far from uber scientific.. it is rather effective.

Apart from it being 1.5MB smaller then the previous version I have no idea what the difference is...
I could have gained 20 points in 05 but that's also within error range..

Maybe this fixes the standby issues people were having....

If anyone plans to install them please have some benchies before and after with screenies to prevent all this silly argument. A couple of pcmarks or sciencemark 2 will be ok.
    Thanks
