This is a shame that we need to lap the new Intel CPU's !!

My 920D IHS is concavous in the middle !!! I get at full load 53ΒΊ with WC when at 4.2@1,485v !!

    SHAME ON YOU INTEL !

Anyone knows if Intel is aware of this IHS problem ??
I hope they correct this mess with the Conroes.

    present specs:

    Asus P5WD2-E premium (fully Modded)
    Intel Pentium D 940 @ 5613 Mhz, 1.8V Vcore (under Dry Ice)
1GB of OCZ PC2-8000 Plat XTC
ATI Radeon X1900 Crossfire edition (master card)
ATI Radeon X1900XTX (slave card) (cards running at 690/800)
    1 16x DVDRW
    1 120GB HD
    OCZ GameXtream 700W Psu

and it is 3Dmark06 Stable at these settings:

Do you think 2GB of ram would boost your scores much?

2GB does not help much in 3Dmark scores that I have seen. BUT, In newer Games, That is a whole different story

Is that 940 one of the new Stepping C1 ones ?

How can we see in the box / IHS if one 930/940 is already stepping C1 ?

No.1 Pentium D & single X1900XTX on the ORB with auto Vcore ! for 3DMark03 full test suite.
No.5 single X1900XTX overall regardless of processor.
Seems GT4 is very sensitive to system ram and Vram speed and timings.

I thought they were supposed to be shipping when the 960 came out? Im just going to wait for newegg to run out of the 950's and 940's a couple times before I buy another chip. Im also waiting for reports of people getting the C1's in then Ill jump on a couple.

I had a look today on the Intel Proc spec finder list and the C1's are still not listed for Pentium D's. Here
    Same for 6x1 series here

Don't see why they could be retail yet.
