Ew, hell even the fan buses are in useless spots. And a heatpipe cooler on 3-4 spots doesnt bode well for a overclocker. Now you'll need to find even thinner waterblocks and heatsinks.

Why would you put the x4 slot where it would be blocked by a vid card; would make sense to switch the x1 and x4 slots.

Second, wth kind of idiot puts a huge hs right next to a vid card; I'm sure that won't shoot up the temps of the gpu.

Third, what crack ho put the four pin connector flush up against a x16 slot?

Fourth, the two fan headers shouldn't be in front of a x16 slot.

small heatsinks like the ones from zalmann should stilf it.
as that big copper heatsink on the board gets narrower just above the PCI-E slot wich should give space for it.

the ones form swiftech could get close.

AFAIK, it has to be attached to a fully AHCI compliant controller, meaning it has to support hotplugging. Pity they didn't make a powered port :/

always wondered why they dont bother with external power, but meh.

Board looks like its loaded with features, overloaded, its cramped on that thing!
but its either dfi or nothing for amd, a8n32 was a pitfa when i made a rig for someone with it.

It's SATA for an external drive. The difference is that you can now have a HD running at full speed outside of your case in an enclosure whereas USB2.0 and 1394a neuter driver performance and 1394b never caught on.

i have a feeling it's hard for motherboard companies to "care" about am2 when they can see for themselves what intel is doing this summer. if anything, they are going to release a few products for amd to give the people who refuse to run intel something, and focus all their energy into high performance conroe boards.
