I really need HELP with DFI Lanparty UT NF4 SLI-DR Expert

Hi, i have trouble overclocking, when i try 2 overclock i cannot boot with higher memspeed then 150 mhz and i do NOT understand all of the things in the bios.. ( had a8n sli deluxe before). i know my cpu manages 2700 mhz easily but i still have problems with the "unknown" stuff in the bios. and i need help with what the timings should be. i have a opteron 165, corsair pc 3500 LL PRO 2 gb, FS 700 W psu and 7800 GT`s. thanks for all help

I had to put more volts (2.85) on my G.Skill to keep em stable @ 236.5mhz where the a8n-sli did it with 2.75 for me. I'm running my 3000+ @ 2.75ghz now that's already 50 more then the asus would give. Only thing i'm waiting for now is my new OCZ EL Platinum's (Rev. 2) so i can run it at 1:1

    Tommy,
Do you know what IC's are on those Corsair memory modules? What are the rated timings and Voltage?

i booted up @ 2700 mhz ( touched ONLY the htt and multiplier + i set it 2 the LOWEST divider) and it bootet fine (memspeed @ 150 mhz :s) then i changed the multiplier 1 step up and it just crashed.. it reboots before it boots the OS

why not start from scratch, as you should, will it not boot if you 'load optimized settings'?

Well, Ok...you booted at 300*9 then on your 165 right?

Your screenshot says you have the 233 divider set....the means the ram is trying to run faster than the CPU.

I don't know what IC's you have but judging from the timings I would say they are Infineon/Aeneon based.

Start here to get you going...then we can work on the overclock: http://www.bleedinedge.com/forum/sho...81&postcount=2

To overclock the ram you will probably have to run 2.5-3-3-x timings (CAS-Trcd-Trp-Tras)

what the screenshot shows is not what i set the divider 2.. it only boots @ the lowest divider and thats memory speed @ 150 mhz.. when i load optimized defaults , or only default i get 200 mhz memory speed and no troubles.. and i ran my opty 165 @ 2.7 on asus card ( can boot and run superpi @ 3 ghz.. and i dont know what timing 2 put where.. only CAS.
something must be wrong.. only boots @ lowest divider :s

    Try something like this:

    In Genie Bios
275 and work your way up
    auto
    16 16
    9
    100
    disable
    Startup
adjust your CPU voltage accordingly for your CPU
    Auto
    1.20v
    1.52v
    2.62 - 2.80V

    Dram Config
    166 then maybe 150
    disabled
    2.5 (or 3)
    3
    8
    3
    10
    16
    03
    02
    02
    03
    3120
    auto
    enabled
    auto
    0
    Level 8, 9, or 10
    Level 2 (Reduce 30%) or 1 (Reduce 50%)
    8ns or 9ns
    normal
6ns or 6.5 if you use 9ns above
    64
    disable
    16
    04
    disable

    Crap....I made a mistake too:

    Dram Config
    166 then maybe 150
ENABLED - since you are only running 2 sticks of ram
    2.5 (or 3)
    3
    8
    3
    10
    16
    03

When I say maybe 150...I am meaning you may have to go to the 150 divider as you scale up the FSB to keep the ram from running too fast.

Since I am an OCZ rep and not Corsair...I can't guarantee that the timings I am giving will work, but I think if you had them running 249 on your Asus board, I have a pretty good idea of what IC's are on them and this should work.

The TG PC4000 will do 277mhz@3.7V on an Ultra-D but on Expert i can hardly get 250 out of it...
