    poor overclock with D940 & P5LD2

i have troubles to overclock my system.

with default Vcore. i can not go more than 235fsb. in 240fsb it gives blue screen when entering to windows or resets. i run it with Vcore 1.5v at 262fsb but can not go anymore.
my old D830 can go up to 260fsb with default Vcore.

i heard that 945 chipset have overclock problems with presler series. anybody know how i can solve that problem?

How can you say that, when a guy in a post above you has IT and has it up to 299 FSB on that board.

I'm looking to change my 630 for 940 and I use the same board, so this ropic interests me as well.

I tested a 930 on my P5LD2 Deluxe and had the same problem. I could push it to 235fsb but over that I kept getting BSOD. To be fair though, I had a crappy psu that was maxed out on my P4 630@ 3.75. I wish I could test it with the psu I just got in, Silverstone 560w to see if that was the real problem.

You know that setting the PCI-E frequency to like 102 or something like that will give you more room.

    Ok, P5LD2 with D930: (0901 Bios)

    FSB: 299
    Multi: 15
    VCPU: 1.3375

4.48 ghz ain't bad...... 300 fsb errors though, I need to find away around that.... and a way to get all the memory ratios working.

Wow thats some nice overclocking there. Whats the max vcore you guys use to run 24/7?

I have a 930D on a P5wd2-Premium. I am currently running at 4.0ghz with 1.365 volts. With load board vdroops quite a bit which is why I am not pushing any higher. I guess its time for the vdroop mod.
