    So far so good...I haven't run prime, but I had folding running while defragging hard drive. That usually crashes it if not stable.
    For me the real test will be video ripping and encoding. If it survives that...I will consider it very stable.
    Only thing that worries me is high cpu voltage it took to stop random reboots...2.125 is setting but bios shows 2.1v
    How high is safe for 24/7 with good cooling (Prommie)?

    Anything under 220v is recommended, I would even go as far to say anything under 110v :p

    I've had a palomino xp2000 running on air cooling at 2.05 for the last 3 - 4 months now without a hiccup

    I think that 1700+ wont be too much of a loss if it doesnt work for 3-4 months.

    It's really looking good guys! Completely stable so far...will run prime to make sure.
    This is not that great a deal for some of you I realize....others have done much better...but this is my best OC ever and the goal that I was after. Very pleased!
    Like you say....no huge financial loss if I burn the chip up...well worth the fun of my own personal best ever OC.

    great overclock!!!

    I could bench 3Dmark at 3 GHz, but to go folding and all that at 2.9 GHz 24/7 was hard even with my stronger prom.
    I'm assuming this is your Prom and now Bowman's cooler so thats one kickass OC my friend. Go for a 3 GHz screenie... you know you want to

    LOL....yep, been thinking about trying to stay up long enough for a 3 screenie I got the siren before the 2.9 OC...no reboot so I turned it off for 10 minutes, then booted up at 2.9 I had to do the same thing with other chip to hit 2.8
    It is in my Prommie....but will go in Bowmans rig for sure, should do better. Prom idles at -24 on display at this voltage.

    BTW I installed my new Twinmos/winbondBH-5 2x256 3200 DDR in this rig today...timings are 5.2.2.2.cas2.0
