Wow, 1000 points more overall than my 965XE @ 5.25 Ghz. Same motherboard and almost same fsb as well. Cool

Wonder how you can get a much better score and have a lower cpu score though. Don't get me wrong, I'm not questioning the validity of your result, just the cpu score I find is odd since your system is obviously faster overall.

My CF score can be seen here as a comparison: http://www.hwt.dk/billedbrowser.asp?id=7913&pic=12

    just as a comparison
I tried to match your cpu score, it take a Yonah T2600 2.9Ghz to match

    spec:
    T2600 ES QKHK stepping 8 @ 2.9Ghz
    X1900XT Crossfire 666/777
    Ballistx 1GB 4-4-5-12 @ 2.15v
    CPU score: 2455

    here is a yonah @ 3Ghz
    x1900xt CF 666/777
    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=272796

i will do more memory and gfx overclock this week with full system watercooling
my mem timing and gfx clock ned serious tweaking
conroe will sure overclock better then yonah when intel offical release conroe plus it is faster then yonah clock for clock
should do good when more boards are out

Cpu score is lower, maybe conroe can actually handle two gpu's without bottlenecking, but its still straining. So now oc'ing the cpu more may lean to increase cpu and gpu scores.

overclocking the cards doesn't exactly allow a good comparison of Conroe vs other processors. These numbers are impressive of course, but they don't provide a fair and level comparrison and therefore instill more doubt in my mind then confidence...

I know that ther party line is be happy with the benchmarks, and I certainly am, but in an ideal situation I would like fair benchmarks (even if they show Conroe in a bad light) over benchmarks designed only to show Conroe in a good light.

Then show us I'm sure that at higher clocks this cpu will be a monster. I cant even predict the scores if this badboy will scale to 4G on xtreme cooling.

No need to see it I can imagine it.

2.7Ghz is a breeze for this chip..a breeze and u know that too FCG so no need to tell it to u.

that is a serious score and congrats - but again as i said before - there is definately something worth investigating as to WHY exactly the Conroe CPU + 975x chipset allows SO much greater efficiency of the crossfire setup??
the power of the CPU is undeniable but then people are getting better CPU scores with other chips so its still on a par; there is something else at work here besides the CPU architecture that is allowing the increased bandwidth or driver efficiency of the two CF cards - i can only speculate coz i dont have access to either the chip or a 975x board - but instead of shooting me down like last time i raised the point an fanboying the Conroe(some more), can anyone suggest a reasonable conclusion?

Hehehe Man I score about 2800 points in 06 ROFL !

3Ghz northwood stock with a stock 6800ultra no overclocking at all...

Maybe ull find some info on anandtech's details about the CORE and K8

    LINK:http://forums.extremeoverclocking.co...d.php?t=219098

If you look at this pic u can see how the CORE has alot more improvements over the old designs so maybe it lays in there..

Way to go FCG. Don't post too many benchmarks all at once, or I may not be able to access this forum due to heavy traffic hahaha....
