nf7-s rev2 bios help needed

i flashed the new 1.2 bios in np but as with ver1.1 bios i get instability.
i tried flashing back and if you notice abit says you cant go back to an older version.THAT SUX! wth were they thinking?

anyhow a force command dont do anything i dont think as it trys to flash but you get "write failure" in certain sectors of the bios.i didnt loose the bios tho as i thought it would be trashed after seeing the failure crap.


anyone have any ideas? i could try booting manually and "-f" in the command but i dont think that will even do it.also they seem to have a reason why they did this.so im wondering if i do by chance get the old one back in what will happen then?

If your instability is really bad with this new bios, it looks like you ought to see if someone who toasted their board has a bios chip with the earlier version on it for sale cheap. Or maybe Excaliberpc has one for sale.

But are you willing to live with the old bios forever, cause it's not likley any future bios will let you flash back either.

Same prob here. Seems to be the HyperX cause with 1.0 bios and my 166Mhz mod I could boot into windows at 242MHz FSB single channel, and do 230x11 nearly stable (think Vcore was too low). Now I could not even power on with these settings getting the siren beeps. Undoing the cpu mod also does not help.
